I love Molly Weasley for one reason: She's the total opposite of the Dursleys: Sweet and kind toward Harry. (Of course she has her flaws. Specifically toward Fred and George's choice to open a joke shop. She was entitled in that she wants her children to follow their father's footsteps and get a job at the ministry.)

There had to be AT LEAST one character that saw Harry as still a baby (a child really). Everyone still had to make Harry grow up quick to be able to fulfill his destiny but Molly still catered to him like a child. I believe that JK Rowling was smart to have a character still show motherly protection and nurture Harry, who knows how the story could have ended without those traits being given to him.
