Did Anyone notice what is happening-as you observe the concert--Above, Way Above- behind/above the band members, while they play their musical instruments ? Think about it--any of you who saw this particular video. C/O RDRT.

This is NOT an easy piece to play. Just because it uses the same melody and counterpoint over and over again doesn't mean it's easy. This piece is an absolute masterclass in the use of the modern symphony orchestra. As a trombonist back in the day, this was the number one most-requested excerpt in every audition ever. Lol.

Music is the most real magic we have. It can conjure images in my imagination that are far beyond this world, it can move my heart, to laugh, to cry, to cheer, to weep, to feel encouraged or broken and defeated.
My entire body moves with the flow of this music. I see a marching army, victorious?

Quando ouvi esse Bolero pela primeira vez, senti uma emoção muito grande e chorei sem entender o motivo.

I love this piece. The way individual instruments dominate until the background takes over. I believe Ravel called this an etude, a study, and was amazed that it became so popular.
