5000 londoners.
That's actually a very small number compared to casualities in other WW2 operations.
We could use londoners as a bait to force Germany to build more V-1s and undermine its economy
Interesting fact: Ferdinand Porsche, engineer and the founder of the legendary automobile manufacturing company PORSCHE, was involved in building the engine for the V-1 Rocket. Some argue that Ferdinand was Nazi.
ОтветитьРашисти як нацисти так само бомблять ракетами Україну.
ОтветитьGerman technology and know-how stolen by the Americans after the war.
ОтветитьFun fact for anyone who didn't know: since the v1 rocket was fairly slow planes like the spitfire could keep up with it, so one way the Brits could prevent the v1 rocket from hitting a valuable target or anything important is the spitfire would fly along side the v1 wing tip to wing tip and roll just a little bit causing the wings to touch and since the v1 was unguided it would get knocked of course and miss its intended traget which makes me laugh
Hey Nigel how did you deal with that new German flying bomb?
Oh hello Boris my good friend I simply smacked it's wing with the wing of my trusty spitfire and re directed it into a park instead
Alot of misinformation on the comments
Keep it mind that these wre only used during mid 1944 to 1945
They weren't used anywhere else except aiming to the UK from Nazi occupied France
The pulse engine did NOT forcefully shutdown when initiating a dive, it losses fuel flow and the engine goes silent

ОтветитьIn my Freshman physics class I had to help out in Lab which meant I had to set up and run a small pulse jet motor at the end of of the classes and let me tell you folks that it was the loudest abrasive sound that you would ever hear ! At the start of run a good size crowd was instantly assaulted by this spectacle this. Crowd started covering their ears and moving away , by the time we shut it down there were only 3 observers . Everyone’s nerves were shot by then ! I got good at running the jet but I dreaded having to start it up again so I quit ! To save my ears and my sanity !
ОтветитьThe grandfather of the cruise missile.
ОтветитьI build such engines myself at home, there are a lot of videos on my channel.👍🤝
ОтветитьUltrakill reference
ОтветитьOne thing I don't understand is why the Germans used this bombs in day instead of night, as if it tries to look into where it's target is when it's actually blind.
ОтветитьIt's Captain Star!
ОтветитьI am amazed by the military industry that the Germans achieved during wartime, but they were truly ahead of their time

ОтветитьIn the London cemetery me and my dad worked as gravediggers dad started in 1964 and me 1986 and there was a area of smashed gravestones and very uneven ground which I was told that a V1 doodle bug landed in the cemetery and there were remains of bodies from the 19th century graves spread for hundreds of feet
