Thank you for a very clear lesson.
ОтветитьThis was one of the first projects that I ever did and now I'm revisiting to make one (hopefully much nicer) as a birthday gift for my mom 😊 thank you so much for your videos, I've learned a lot. Love from Uruguay❤
Ответить😊😊🎉😊😊
ОтветитьAlisa, thank you so much for all the wonderful videos! I would like to make this kimono with a zipper for after my surgery. Do you have any advice how to do this? Thank you
ОтветитьImo the measurements come way too small and I am petite person
I have added bigger than usual seam allowance and the front and back isn't very flowy, it's just close fitting
This is WONDERFUL! Trying this, also subscribing here! I'm gonna make one for my doll, for my niece and heck one for me!!!
Ответитьsoldier is 10 inch?
ОтветитьI'm currently making this Kimono for a friend I love it excellent video thank you😊
ОтветитьWaoww, you explained it very well in detail and with love. You are so sweet and I am eating mango while watching your video and I feel like that you are sweet like mango.
ОтветитьLike always … Awesome 🎉 I’m glad I joined the members area.
Ответитьcan you explain navigating around the part where the sleeve meets the body under the arm. Mine gets jumbled up and tucks...
Ответитьwish me luck, hope it turns out this beautiful
ОтветитьVery beautiful! Thanks for sharing!
ОтветитьThank you for this excellent tutorial, I just made a kimono and it's the first time I do a pattern of my own with my measurements. It went okey, but I somehow managed to do the front wrong so my shoulder seams are a bit down at the arm. However, instead of feeling sorry for the not perfect, but totally fine, result, I'm going to take one of your other tips and make the garment three times to practise :) Thank you again!
ОтветитьI am lost about how to cut the sleeves too. Can someone help? Thanks
ОтветитьHelp! How am ı gonna cut the sleeve template?
ОтветитьI like your voice 😊
ОтветитьThank you so much for this video and the clear instructions, was able to make a robe out of a long shawl, very happy for a beginner 🤗
ОтветитьWhat a wonderfully clear and thoughtful tutorial! Thank you for this!
ОтветитьI LOVE this!ty❤
ОтветитьThis can be used for shipo from Inuyasha too right?
ОтветитьI’m a little confused on my second time making this - how are you attaching the neckband and sewing it? I must have got it right first time but I’ve now given that garment to the person it was for so I don’t remember 😅
ОтветитьI have been watching your tutorials, for quite awhile, and I love the way you teach, especially using the body measurements and putting it on paper and sewing it up, your amazing. I finely decided to make this pattern. Only one question, when I add the seam allowance, do I also add to the shoulders and neck. I am very new at drafting. Thank you for your teaching times💓
ОтветитьHi Alisa I love your videos. I just want to know if I can use a lace fabric for this Kimono. Thanks in advance
ОтветитьHave to try this! And I love the fabric you used, so pretty!!
ОтветитьI made my first kimono and it looks perfect 🥹 thank you thank you thank you!! 🥹
ОтветитьGreat video, would like to try it! May you tell me what kind of fabulous fabric you used for this project?
ОтветитьI love your videos. You explain things so clearly and your videos are sooo good. Can you do a tutorial on drafting a simple nightgown. I have a beautiful bed sheet I want to turn into a nightgown. Thanks.
ОтветитьWow, thank you so much for this tutorial. It was so well explained. Thanks ;P
Ответить😍Wow I really loved the way you teach how to sew 🧵 I have learned something new 😇thank you so much
ОтветитьThank you soooooooo much… a detailed video
ОтветитьMay i know what fabric did you use? Looked like silk when i first looked, but now it looks different. I'm still learning the different fabrics so can you please, let me know? Thank you very much for the wonderful work! :D
ОтветитьBonsoir
Merci pour ce beau tuto 🥰
Thank you, I made a kimono style dressing gown by just extending the front pieces for more ‘wrap over’ and making it ankle length. I then added a belt to tie around. It’s gorgeous and I’m so proud that I cut my own pattern!
ОтветитьHello Alisa, thank you for this vid, quite easy to follow. btw there is also an option where the sleeves are not cut and so together with the bodice creating a T pattern, what do u think is the difference with attaching the sleeves separately?
ОтветитьJust made my 1st kimono cardigan using this video!! It is so easy to follow with clear instructions Thanks for sharing. 😉😉😉
ОтветитьThis is not a Kimono. Please fact check before posting something like this. This is racist. A Kimono (着物) is used in ceremonies only like the coming of age ceremony. What you would wear everyday is a Yukata. Which also does not look anything like this at all. I think you confused it with a happi
ОтветитьThank you so much for all of your fabulous videos. I made this kimono into a bathrobe length for a Christmas gift and it came out very nicely. I do not usually use slippery or silky type fabrics and for this I used a brand new ball point needle and tried to hand crank to get started, but did have some challenges with handling the fabric at times. I am interested in any suggestions you have for working with this type of fabric or specific fabric types you would recommend for a novice? Thanks and I look forward to trying other garments from your tutorials!
ОтветитьWooow..i love the way you explain it clearly..easy to understand..tysm..😍👍🏻👍🏻💝🙏🏻🙏🏻
ОтветитьIf we’re using 11” for an adult in the sleeve what’s the will be the length for the sleeve for a 6 yr old?
ОтветитьThis is an awesome pattern. I made it for my mom and it came out perfectly, very flattering design. Making one for myself now 😊 Thanks for the detailed tutorial!
ОтветитьI just bought fabric called bow wow chow mein with dogs eating noodles in a Asian alley. The back of this kimono would look great with a panel of this fabric
ОтветитьThis is gorgeous. I love the fabric too.
ОтветитьHi....Your tutorials are really easy to understand for beginners and helpful too 😀
Please upload waterfall shrug sewing tutorial for beginners....
This video really helps me to learn how to make a kimono cardigan! Thanks so much! ~Janet in Canada
ОтветитьThanks, Alisa, for your excellent tutorial. I made the cardigan using rayon (black with gold flowers and Japan-style trees) and it's beautiful! I'd like to share about two problems I faced, so that other beginners can benefit from my experience. Firstly, I had made the cardigan to end about 5 cm below my waist, but realized, after making the cardigan, that this length was not sufficient to tie the cardigan at the bottom. I ended up sewing on a button and buttonhole at the bottom of the cardigan to hold it in place, so all's good. Secondly, the hardest part of making the cardigan was sewing the armpit area well enough that three seams meet nice and flat - I had to do this a few times over but couldn't get this done as well as you did. I'm not sure why I faced that problem, and am wondering if it was because I did not manage to maintain my 5/8 inch seam width consistently with all three seams, due to imperfect sewing or cutting. Fortunately, the design is very forgiving - the imperfect sewing at the armpit is hidden by the fabric of the sleeve. All's well that ends well! Your super clear and helpful instructions made sewing the rest of the cardigan, from start to end, smooth-sailing. Thank you!
ОтветитьI like your channel, I think I’m going back to sewing again
ОтветитьWell I'm going to make this but in a heavier fabric for fall. Nice job!
