And you thought Mattel were swell. You know: "You Can Tell It’s Mattel… It’s Swell!”
ОтветитьWould be better as a peripheral for a popular system, with larger card set. Foils, named items, etc. Online components to games, like mtg.
ОтветитьThose look nice. You should fix them up. I've seen videos and it's not that tough.
ОтветитьSonic 06: Hold my chao juice.
Ответитьstill better than the amiico
Ответитьgreat editing
ОтветитьWait... The Ps3 Released back in 2006!? Jesus i remember getting a Ps3 for christmas like it was yesterday...
ОтветитьI'm not trying to defend such a shitty product, but clearly Mattel never intended for most kids to buy ten packs of cards at $10 a pop to play one game... They almost certainly were thinking that kids would buy a pack or two, take them to school and trade with their friends to get the ones they wanted...
But yeah that idea sounds a lot better in the planning meeting than it did in execution 😅
Well, what do you expect from a SoC that originally was for cheap plugin consoles?
From what i can read about the Sunplus SPG290 used in there you could run Linux on it, but with only 16 MByte of RAM you are in for a treat of the bare-bone side of things. Unless you do a real oldschool 2.6 kernel, then some things could still be useable. ^^'
THE HYPER SCAN WAS HYPER DAMNED FROM THE HYPER START AND WAS A HYPER FART (video ends with a shot for shot remake of Goku going "even further beyond", resulting in the hyperscan exploding into a million pieces)
ОтветитьThey could have done this right. Don’t cheap out on the console parts, then immediately sell it to Yugio bois. They’d make intellicard versions of their decks, boom more immersive game. Other than that one game, nothing on this would work other than Pokemon and Magic. You know what? Maybe something weirder like the Medabots series in japan giving you a car od each body piece. Not having the biggest and most confusing card game here was a loss.
ОтветитьThis video just unlocked repressed memories lmaooooo
ОтветитьThe funny thing is, in that Ben 10 game, not getting the alien he wanted IS lore accurate. The Omnitrix, the device that gives Ben the power to transform into different aliens, had a tendency to give Ben the wrong alien whenever he transformed, forcing him to get creative
ОтветитьI've watched all of the Worst Ever series (I think), and there's been some bad consoles. The Ouya, Google Stadia, N-Gage, the ones from Soulja Boy, and others are all bad in their own right. But this is the one I keep coming back to. There's just something about the HyperScan that is the correct mix of awful that makes it special. The cheap plastic console, the bad controller, the scamming card system, the input lag, the consoles breaking down and being unfixable, the loading times...all of these things come together in such a unique way that I'm stupefied that a company as huge as Mattel ever greenlit this. Thank you Mattel and Rerez for giving us these laughs after all this time.
ОтветитьHyperScam
ОтветитьHyperScam, before microtransactions existed
ОтветитьThe Hyper Scam
ОтветитьIf you have a broken hyper scan it becomes a hyper doorstop 😂
ОтветитьThis guy's voice can get grating but not his fault.
ОтветитьThis was my favorite video game console as a kid, I had all the games and the cards
ОтветитьWhen you make something trying to appeal to everyone you’ll eventually appeal to no one
ОтветитьHyper scam
ОтветитьIf the console games the inability to read discs, it becomes a hyper USB block.
ОтветитьThis comment is coming from after the MIIIW remake and personally I think you look like makarov
ОтветитьThe fact that Digital Eclipse, the publishers for most games on the GBA including Spyro: Season of Ice & Season of Flame, made Interstellar Wrestling League on the Hyperscan, makes me unsure if I should be amazed or scared!
ОтветитьIf anything, those "Intellicards" were more like Stupidicards. LOL
ОтветитьI just want to say thank you Rerez for have amazing content without vulgarity and profanity. It’s a breath of fresh air. Glad I found your channel.
ОтветитьSo, I've watched a few of these, for some reason. Is your entire channel just centered around being overwhelmingly negative?
ОтветитьAnd this is what happens when a toy company who had its best hayday in the 80's where marketing to kids all the time was normalized...makes a game console. The quality comes second to milking the hell out of the parents' pockets.
ОтветитьI feel bad for the kid's who's parents could barely afford this hunk-o-💩 much less add on cards & had to play the same thing over & over!
ОтветитьAh yes, the HyperScam. This thing is probably worth more broken.
ОтветитьI would rather play Ben 10: Alien Force - Vilgax Attacks for the Wii than to play Ben 10 for the Hyper Scan!
And HWL would be better-suited for anything else but the HyperScan!
The Wii also came out that year and the GBA was already on its way out with the DS (which came out 2 years prior) taking over and the PSP already out a year before!
ОтветитьSo if a kid wants to get the full experience of a game, the kid needs to buy cards? Sold in packs like sports cards?
"Hey dad, can we get more Hyperscan cards so I can unlock levels/characters for my game?"
"What??? I'm not going to buy cards so you can play a game I spent good money on!"
"Actually, I need cards to actually play the full game."
"Uh...well...you're an ungrateful spoiled brat!"
So essentially this was skylanders but it was a whole console and was terrible. This does, i guess, "toys to life" SO horribly. Jesus you may as well have waited 5 years for Skylanders Spyros adventure to release, because THAT was a good experience!
ОтветитьThis guy sounds like Silver the Hedgehog.
ОтветитьI think the ( n ) at the end of the word scan was ment to have an ( m ).
ОтветитьI'm so glad I never saw this in stores as a kid and instead grew up with the Xbox 360 because I would have wanted it.
ОтветитьHyperScam...
ОтветитьSo they made an entire game console whose main core mechanic was lootboxes, and then they screwed up the lootboxes? phenomenal.
Ответить
