With the inlet to the pump at the higher port, is the filter able to get a lot of the stuff that settles to the bottom?
ОтветитьAny feedback on placement of holes for the inlet and outlet. I assume the lower one is the inlet for the pump.
ОтветитьCan chorine be used to kill bacteria?
ОтветитьThanks
ОтветитьDoes the water not flow back into the return line since it is submerged/slightly submerged? Any reason you would not put the return hole above water line?
Ответитьi use vinerar as an antibacterial in my tub
ОтветитьWhat if I have an inflatable tub. Is there a pump solution?
ОтветитьGreat video. Any solution to chilling the water in warmer months?
ОтветитьWhat's missing is a sand filter or a cartridge filter. Hook it up inline to the pump where the inlet goes to sand filter and filtered water comes back into the tub. You can then either pull out and clean the cartridge or backwash the sand filter. Just running through the pump is only going to cause large debris to collect in the pump. UV doesn't do any good when it's outside exposed to sunlight. You can use small bromine or chlorine tablets to kill the microorganisms. You can find a decent sand filter or cartridge filter for less than $100. The bathtub drain is a clever idea. I have a refrigerator pump for my cold soak tub, but I also have a pool so I was considering doing something like this because the refrigerator filter is small and needs to be cleaned every few days to keep it running. I'm likely going to get a cartridge filter and a small pump and do something similar. This is a cool build!
ОтветитьAquarium salt to keep from freezing
ОтветитьDoes a 1.25" hole saw not work? I see you linked the 1.5" hole saw but the drain is 1.25"
ОтветитьAny damage to your water filter after the water froze and thawed?
ОтветитьHow about in-tank filters option?
ОтветитьIs that UV light safe for humans? Brand looks a little suspect but maybe I'm being too cautious.
ОтветитьI have a Nurecover portable ice bath which has 1 drainage tap/point at the bottom. As I can't drill holes and I'm not too keen on punching holes through it for a second outlet, would the pump set up you have be able to pump the water into the ice bath via a hose that hangs over the edge into the top of the ice bath?
ОтветитьGreat video
ОтветитьI got the same horse trough. Was hoping some chlorine would be enough to keep it clear but after just 2 weeks of use it is disgusting. Gotta figure something like this out i guess
ОтветитьGreat video. I'm using the same tank and have recently started seeing cancer/reproductive health warnings on galvanized steel products in Cali and Oregon. Do you know anything about that/have any suggestions for non toxic/affordable liners or sealants?
ОтветитьGreat video. However, I suggest getting a chiller and cold plunge barrel. That is what I use and will run you around $2,000 and save you headache after headache. Not to mention what do you do in the summer time? Adding bags of ice is not a real good solution and that can get very expensive. I love a good DIY but after a few headaches its so worth the money to buy a nice unit. Mine is 39 degrees every day and ready when I get home 365 days a year.
ОтветитьYou have the lines crossed on the filter/pump. Inlet is on top, outlet on bottom. Cool vid though
ОтветитьLol No it’s never going to get easier
Thank you for sharing. Got my own plunge been doing it for about 5 days
Just picked up my first 100 gal yrough and i love yiur ideas for keepijg it clean and keepijg it cheap
ОтветитьWould the 330 be good for a 55/60gal tank?
ОтветитьIs the UV filter as effective as ozone?
ОтветитьI wonder if instead of installing two holes...couldnt you raise the pool a foot or two and use the hole provided then just let it feed back into top?
ОтветитьI wonder if this will work with the Rubbermaid tub..
Ответитьhow do you keep the water cold when the weather warms up?
ОтветитьGreat post. Now that you've been running the system for a few moths, does the pump/filter and the UV light do the job?
ОтветитьI have an inflatable tube. The screw is not compatible with the pump. Why don't put both filter tubes inside the water?
ОтветитьNeed more videos brotha
ОтветитьHow do you keep the water cold in the summer?
ОтветитьI’ve got a small above ground pool laying around would that be suitable? IT’s chemically treated regularly waters just don’t feel like throwing money when I got something that can probably be used
ОтветитьWould you happen to have a solution for filtering water in cold plunge tubs that are of the thermo-insulated plastic kind? (Ie nurecover, etc.) I only have one opening to draw water out
ОтветитьHow do you connect it with a water chiller and a water filter?
ОтветитьSo helpful!!! Thanks a lot for sharing!
Ответить😂is that ever going to get easy NOPE not in my experience.
Great video
Used this method and components ....works great... just used better hoses and clamps...
Ответитьthanks for the great video! has your tank rusted?
ОтветитьHey friend, i am using the same pump,i adapted to a freezer, but this is the second time it happens, after 3-4 weeks, my water is murky is so weird, i used about 1/4 food grade petoxide. I have only used it 4x after showering. Anybody had this issue? I suspect the cartridge filter maybe?
ОтветитьI think you could get rid of the plumbers putty and just use the rubber washer on the inside to prevent leaks
Ответитьwould this be a good method for lotion too?
ОтветитьHow have these devices held up? The UV light has medium reviews
ОтветитьThis is perfect for us beginners. I was using my pool in the winter where the water was around 50-60 degrees. unfortunately it gets over 80 degrees in the summer. Question, how long does the water last with this setup before you need to change the water all together? I live in socal where its hot more often than not, so I will have to use ice to get it to the temp I need. Great video thank you for the info!
ОтветитьDo you think that the sink drank would work on a Rubbermaid 100 stock tank?
ОтветитьVery nice simple effective build! Good job!!
ОтветитьJust bought some of the materials from this video. However, your hole saw is inch and a half, but your sink drain is inch and a quarter? Is this correct??
ОтветитьGreat video, thanks!!
ОтветитьLove it. This is exactly what I was looking for. A budget solution for someone just getting started. Thank you.
ОтветитьHi I am new to all this and I want to start this but I don’t want to be spending 100s on ice so how do I keep it cold I am 16 and need to convince my parents I know this is a late comment but if you could help I would appreciate it
Ответитьwhat kind of pump should i buy that doesnt need to be gravity fed?
Ответить
