Karaandnate, This is a neat van, but I like your own better. Take ideas from the shorter rental van and incorporate them into yours. About the bed being 'horizontal' in the rental, I would imagine all beds need to be horizontal in order to be used as a bed. The opposite to horizontal is vertical. I don't think you want to sleep standing up. I think the word 'perpendicular' to the fore and aft ends of the van is the wording you meant to say.

Super job on your van. Would you consider buying some of the parts and adding them to yours so you would hv something similar to the rental van? They do hv self-contained small ac units. Perhaps you would wish to add a ladder and solar panels to your van also. The cost difference makes yours the best deal. Great job.

There is no way I would spend anything over 5k for all of the "special" features of the more expensive van (with the possible exception of 4x4)

I love how the little bulges in the side allow them to lay the bed horizontal as opposed to vertical.

The convenience factors you call-out bring up some questions however: are you considering adding some of these convenience/automated features to your van? Which ones?

I watch a demo video for a van similar to this with the exact same ladder and the man narrating actually removed the ladder from the back and placed it on the driver side and stated you are never supposed to climb on the ladder while it is hanging in the back door because you will damage the door.

I’m not saying this to be mean at all so know that first!! I really like the size of it, it’s compact but damn $150,000? I could buy a huge motor home for that! Now you get all the headaches of a large motor coach but I have a hard time spending $150,000 on something so small. Is that a weird opinion? Just doesn’t seem like a fair deal.

As solo female this was useful.. ..think better to buy new van 40k and accessories and not to worry about breakdowns but 150k never .... waste of money

More oversized vehicles crowding up the roads and wasting resources. The roadways are overclogged with big vans, big tucks and big SUVs. Millennials are proving to be just as wasteful and materialistic are the older generations and I am sure Gen Z will follow their example.

You might want to stop using the term "devices" when referencing Personal Computers. A device doesn't automatically mean some type of computer. What would you need to do to get your existing rig into the best shape it can be in? Drooling over another sprinter van for the perks it has is a huge waste of time.
