My guess is Gaetz will run for FL governor 2026. He would've been amazing as the AG though.

Another option, make Gaetz a special Prosectutor. That would require no approval and tear into the swamp huge trouble for lots of democrats. Making Gaetz make elections honest again that would really spell disaster for "their democracy".

It could also be that this was a plot from Trump and Getz, they knew that Getz wouldn't be voted in. Now they know all who are against Trump's and the American people's wishes.

I think this is some 4D chess that Trump and Gaetz had planned the whole time. Maybe so Desantis can appoint him to Rubio’s vacancy keeping a MAGA republican in the senate, maybe to expose RINO swamp monsters, maybe to focus fire on him and draw it away from others, maybe all of the above.

Gaetz stepped aside because he took one for the team, he knew it would take far to long to get confirmation so past the torch to Pam so she could get firing asap.
