Salute to the coast guard 4 saving a precious young Life. We don't have enough words to Thank you gentlemen. I was once transferred from my ship to Victoria harbor ( HK). I was burned severely. In the similar weather. Was a Trainy Engineer then. Blessings to Captain Gill Barbara his wife. They forces Hongkong marine authority to rescue on their tugboat. Midnight. They save my life. Love you guys.

I wish he would stop saying, I'm the Captain so it falls on me. OMG !!!

This is a captain who doesn't learn from bad situations!! The same thing happened again on this boat but the difference the second time was the young man was killed!!

my mom would have said "Really, we went through all of that and they're going to be fine...! Well they better be thankful!" .... Glad your guy is okay, and he has a great crew

It's amazing, the lengths we go to and the technology we have developed for saving our fellow man.

This reminds me of an incident we had on a job in the Gulf of Mexico. The crane cable let go and the man basket caught on our rig, then dropped 20 ft. The guy in it was messed up. We had to cut him out of it and a helicopter came. We were 6 hour boat ride in rough seas and wind.

That drop was like seal team 6 in there n out

That’s crazy that they got a cameraman on the coast guard helicopter, almost makes it seem scripted but they wouldn’t go through all this effort and take all that risk to script this

My jaw was on the floor the whole time during that rescue. Incredible care and guts by the coast guard. Praying for the deckhand for a full recovery. Terrible ordeal that everyone went through. The salute from the rescue crewman was the best. God bless you all🙏🙏
