But because of so many beautiful landscapes this territory was conquered partly by the Roman Empire in 106 BC, partly by the Ottoman Empire in the 15th century, partly by the Habsburg Empire in the 18th century, partly by the Tsarist Empire in 19th century, totally by the communist power of the USSR after WWII until the 1989 revolution. However, Romanians have always remained hospitable to foreigners.
That is the defining feature of this people!!!😊

I traveled in Transfagarasan many times. I travelled it once in a Sânziene night. The Night of Sânziene was this year on June 24. Believe it or not, at one point I saw in the headlights, about 200 meters away, a bride standing on the side of the road with her back to the road. The dress looked like it was from the medieval era, very lacy and flared. I was terribly scared and stopped the car. The bride then disappeared in the black forest. In Romania is possible to see this on the roads, in the midnight oil. Even King Charles is a relative of Vlad Țepeș Dracula. Poenari fortress is the real Dracula fortress on Transfagarasan. 💀

You think that little glass window would protect you from a bear?just drive off,you are playing with yourself😂😂they are cute animals,also a little racoon is cute,but a little tiny glass wouldn't stop you from getting a small animal if you want,it is the same with the bears.Not all of them are friendly

I really recommend you to visit the historic monasteries from Bucovina, a region which is in the north/east of Romania. There is nothing like it in in Europe. You will love it!

The yellow cover is called in our language ”mămăligă” and the inside there is sheep chees produced in the mountains, It is a typical shepherd food, rather heavy for the stomach, but delicious though. Its name is ”bulz” (pronounced like ”bulls” in English)
