I just purchased a wagner. How do you thin the paint to prepare it for the job? What does it mean to prime the sprayer? Thanks in advance
ОтветитьThanks for the video. A question if you don't mind. I'm completely new to this. Why would you not use a pneumatic paint sprayer? For the price you pay for the Graco, you can probably get a compressor and a nice sprayer, can't you?
ОтветитьCool video. I was thinking although Graco gave more even coverage, the final product just looks like painted mdf almost too perfect and with some of the wood grain coming through it looks like an heirloom piece wood can be stripped bare painted, stripped again stained, covered in pvc vinyl but removed with a Wagner Heat Gun so letting the grain show through makes the statement "I'm the real deal not some compressed wood that holds up but only slightly better than cardboard ever will. I will see what i can pick up at Michael's to make my project easier. I was planning on taking my cabinets outside to paint but watching you maybe I'll just open the windows and keep it indoors.
Thanks again for your videos. You're inspiring
It was spitting because you didn’t bleed the air out. It is under a vacuum so flip the lid open and follow the instructions to bleed it out. Easy.
ОтветитьComparing a cadilac to a pinto,not fair ,
ОтветитьLOVE my Graco Cordless Connect
Worth the $210 i paid at Home Depot
Lowes carry it too
I knew at the very beginning that this would be a biased video for the new sprayer. I've been using the Wagner for years and I can promise you that any time you are having issues with the way the Wagner is spraying is because of user error. Either you didn't clean it well enough or you didn't thin the paint properly, or you have trash in your paint. When you called the graco amazing before you ever opened the box, I knew where this was going
ОтветитьDefinitely not familiar with the Wagner sprayer huh? Did you use the detail nozzle or the project nozzle? The detail nozzle is for fine finish. Also you can adjust your spray pattern on the Wagner from vertical to horizontal or circle. A small cap full of floetrol in the cup will also make a massive difference in your finish.
ОтветитьAirless vs HVLP.
Both should be used for their own specific purposes, but excellent review nonetheless.
Does these mfs work with oil paint sweetie ?
ОтветитьWAGNER ONLY IF YOU CAN'T AFFORD A BETTER SPRAYER
ОтветитьIt’s normal that stay on?
ОтветитьPhenomenal review/content...
ОтветитьWagner Chinese crap
ОтветитьNice comparison but flawed due to your inexperience.
ОтветитьMassive difference in price between the 2. For the money, I would hope the Graco would be better.
Ответитьpaint zoom for $30 is the best.
ОтветитьYou're not gonna get a great finish with two coats.
You need a primer on the bare wood /fill the dents /touch up / then apply two coats. The primer lets the wood soak up paint so the finish just sits on top.
Would be a better review, not between a Wagner XVLP 4000 (18V) or at least any XVLP. Wagner which is also in the Price Range of a Graco.
ОтветитьSeems to me that you'll need two batteries for the Graco if you're doing a big project. Otherwise, you'll be taking a long brake between charges.
ОтветитьThis test, just say nothing :( the price range is to big, graco is a prosprayer and this wagner flexio for diy.
ОтветитьPaint thickness in machine makes the difference
ОтветитьThe Graco is 3 times the price, so I would stick to the Wagner and I’ve seen enough reviews to say the Wagner is a good sprayer
ОтветитьI don't think you primed the gun... that's why it spattered. Gotta squeeze the air out nexttimes
ОтветитьPrice and results; Wagner is a very good spray gun
ОтветитьYou must reduce the paint it is clear to see in the Wagner spray
ОтветитьI got the Graco, easiest spray gun i ever used, Pour the paint, prime, and paint lol it just Does not get any easier. I like the corded one, i cant stand the battery one.
ОтветитьSo the Graco gives you ear fatigue, but the shop vac sounding Wagner doesn't? 😂
ОтветитьNeither of these are sprayers they are splatter painters neither is worth the price! 40 year experienced painter!
ОтветитьIt should be better, it costs almost three times more than the Wagner.
ОтветитьHow is this an apples to apples comparison? The Wagner is $180 & the Graco is close to $600.
ОтветитьGraco is a headache with that paint container, plus the paint is not well distributed on the surfaces.
ОтветитьWagner paint sprayers are crap. Get a Graco if you actually want to paint instead of making a mess of your walls with the Wagner, which you will later have to sand off if you want a decent finish. The Wagner is weak and sprays like crap.
Ответитьthe Wagner painting system requires the paint to be more diluted than in the airless system.
ОтветитьI had nothing but TROUBLE with the Graco. Heavy and cumbersome, awful to clean, for $800 , I ended up throwing it in the trash, junk. WAGNER.
ОтветитьThese two machines are very sensitive to paint thickness. I can see from the video that your paint is way too thick nobody wants to paint and leave splatters that size on the edge. No mention of how vast the price difference is on these two machines not worth it for the Graco.
ОтветитьI bought a Graco this week. I sent it back straight away purely because the build quality was terrible. None of the joins in the plastic were touching. It looked like it was just thrown together. Really disappointed and I didn’t even use it
ОтветитьPersonally like the titan hand-held myself
ОтветитьPrice difference please.
And please use both when used and cleaned the same way. By you, which I am sure would be a lovely cleaning.
I would clean out that Wagner gun because you have not cleaned it properly. Also thin your paint out in both as a good paint will cover nicely even when thinned down a bit.
This was like comparing a used 2013 Chevy Impala with 95k miles on it and comparing it to a 2023 Camry Hybrid.
You really think the Graco is a better gun? It is like Five times the price by the time you have invested in batteries and accessories and extra cups and tips. Hmmmmmm
Next you can do two day old leftovers in a togo box from McDonalds and compare it to a freshly served 4 star Michelin restaurant and tell us more of the obvious.
Thank you for the news flash there Katie Couric. Any more wisdom you have for us there Einstein?
And next week we compare sleeping at the Ritz Carlton in New Yorks Manhattan with throwing down a sleeping bag in the back alley of that same hotel and cuddling up with Stinky the 73 year old homeless man with paranoid schizophrenia, one leg, and he hasn't showered this year.
I WONDER WHICH ONE WILL BE BETTER. HMMMMMMMM, BEATS ME. WE WILL HAVE TO TRY IT TO FIND OUT.
Omg the Graco is a thousand bucks in the UK
ОтветитьI would never use an airless paint sprayer on cabinets or furniture and expect a nice levelled out coat. There is no air to break up the paint into small enough particles to get a really smooth coat as do HVLP sprayers (the Wagner for example: high volume low pressure). I could be wrong about it but I would use an airless paint sprayer on walls or a fence and leave the smooth work to finer painting machines. Sure everyone likes cordless tools but I really don't enjoy paying all that extra money for something that would be used (in most cases) where receptacles are nearby. I use cordless drills all the time and love them but I really prefer most tools to be corded in most cases. Then there is the ugly thing about mining the materials for all of the batteries; child slavery used in their mining, and all of the actual real pollution caused by their manufacturing. No, I am not an environmental fanatic but it is good at times to mention real pollution (and not the phony C02 fantasy global warming garbage (C02 is NOT a pollutant and neither is tungsten), cow farts are really not an issue and there are now more polar bears than there were in the 1950's)! I just had to get that out of my system! This is the first of your videos I have watched and I am really not criticizing your video! They take a lot of work but I just felt like doing a mini-rant here. Graco makes awesome products which I have used many times myself but these tools are really for different applications. Sure, I know people who use airless paint sprayers on vehicles and cabinets but I wouldn't recommend it. Thanks for you video and I will check out some of your others! Ok, I give up I just subscribed!
ОтветитьI got a wagner ,I got to say wagner are shite not fast enough as graco ,the graco has more pressure than wagner ,I won't buy a wagner again crap
ОтветитьYou should not be flushing paint into the sewers, thats bad for the planet girl..
ОтветитьUsed gun vs new gun 😂
ОтветитьThis is a GRACO video for sure...
ОтветитьThis is NOT Fair...
This is Apples and Oranges...
Graco is more of the Professional side...
Wagner is great... just depending on which one you get.
The grace blows the Wagner away, I went through 3 flexios in the past year, thinning the paint and worrying about spray angle was annoying. The grace was quick to figure out and works flawlessly.
ОтветитьThis is obviously a poor review. I’ve used Wagners before and never had such poor results as you did. You obviously didn’t use it correctly, by using the actual piece as spray test instead of getting a cardboard box to test spray pattern then spray your actual piece! Do you always get such poor results with Wagner? If so, you’re doing something definitely wrong “Miss Flip”. I suggest you get some help.
ОтветитьI have that graco sprayer and I love it. You don't need to thin out the paint and I painted my whole garage and interior doors. But it is heavy and expensive
Ответить
