Some commentators didn't get it. He wanted to expand the block but shrink the bolt in order to get it loose. So he heated up everything but cooled only the bolt. Totally correct.

Вода охлаждает только пробку, её размер хоть на сотые доли мм да уменьшается, появляется микрозазор в резьбе и отвернуть уже проще.

Некоторые комментаторы, считают что все поняли объясняя процесс тем что нагревая деталь ее расширяем а заглушку поливаем водой охлаждаем и так все работает потому что деталь горячее,чем заглушка - это в корне не верно. Во первых греет маломощной кровельной горелкой без кислорода ,во вторых греет все вместе и деталь и заглушку при этом происходит большее нагревание заглушки и меньшее детали так как ржавчина в резьбе заглушки затрудняет теплопередачу и таким образом заглушка расширяется сильнее и при поливе ее водой уменьшается так же быстрее такие колебания механически разрушают ржавчину. И именно так работает в данном случае механизм прогрева и охлаждения. Если бы он хотел нагреть деталь больше то взял бы кислородную мощную горелку и направлял пламя вокруг краев заглушки полностью фокусируя его на детали. Оба метода рабочие,но принцип действия разный. Именно так это работает ,а не как обьяснил это автор закрепленного комментария.

Next time use wD 40 spray or put some petrol wait for 1 min ,tap it hard , try to unscrew, it will easily come out. 😊😊

Great job, wish I’d filmed many of the things I’ve released in a similar fashion. The critical part is speed, you only a very short time to get whatever it is moving, sometimes only seconds before the heat transfers and re expands the plug. And you are back square one. It’s a very satisfying feeling when you have it moving.

Ive done a similar thing to get a seized flare nut to unstick from a brake line.. Heat everything up and put ice cubes to the line to shrink it.. got it all unstuck without having to cut and reflare. A slightly more mentally complex trick is how you can get a pilot bearing out of a crankshaft ONLY by heating it.. It's already tight in the hole, so how does heating it up make it come loose? Ah, im sure bunches of yall would get it.

This is what he should have done.
Place penetrant oil around thread leave overnight. Heat the main body ad hot as possible say 300C. Get wet clothes rag and instantly put it on the nut only.
This may break the rust bonded on the threads but not always. May need to redo the oiling heating and quenching.
What people do not understand is that rust expands by say 3% and creates tremendous internal gripping pressure also chemical bonding occurs. The torqued needed to undo can be more then the UTS of the steel resulting in breakage. The impacting I believe may work but its the heat and oil and sudden contraction that will loosen the threads.

Penetrating oil would have been an easier start to all that, but out is out. 👍

As it frees off and the camera cuts away it's a different component in the vice. Look at the position of the Allen bolt relative to the other hole. I'm not critcising the technique though...
