Crazy how we’re watching all these civilians getting killed or put in danger as basically Satan is destroying Shibuya and no one cares lmao. People really are desensitized to violence lol. It takes Yuji caring to get people to realize we just watched a massive catastrophe and a worst case scenario for all our protagonists 💀

Like imagine the scenes if he brought it out against Todo lmao, they would've needed to call Gojo to finish it off.

Just to give some Spoiler-Free Explanation, because the Episode didn't do it quite well in Comparison to the Manga: Mahoraga (the Shikigami) has the Ability to adapt to literally ANYTHING. Fire/Heat, Swords, Mahitos Soul Manipulation, Gojos Infinity - you name it. The Concept is OP AS FUCK, which is why no 10 Shadows user in the past couple of hundred years was able to tame it :D You basically hit it with something and after that it just takes some time to slowly nullify that kind of attack completely. It's the reason that Sukuna initially cut off Arms, then just fingers and then just left some Scratches. He HAD to switch to Domain Expansion, because at this Point his normal Technique would deal 0 dmg. It is also why he didn't finish it off with Domain Expansion. He used his Domain for a couple of Seconds to deal significant initial Damage, but then switched to something that hasn't been adapted to (Fire) to finish the Job. His Domain wouldn't be able to deal more Damage anyway, since Mahoraga already took it for a couple of Seconds - giving it enough time to adapt. Mahoraga is also a Being of almost pure Energy, so it can heal and restore itself just like we've seen it before with Curses (Jogo, Hanami ect). It tanks a couple of hits, restores itself and is then completely immune to those hits it took in the first place xD

Megumi was about to use mahoraga against sukuna in episode 5 as well before Yuji dies

Sukuna being a complete dick by feeding to Yuji what he saw… the evil prick.

Imagine one moment u were fighting Choso n his blood technique, KO’d, n the next thing u see is a desolated wasteland that was once the Shibuya district…

N the demon inside u suddenly blasted u with images that HE did it, all the while using Yuji’s body.

Also, note about using the OP at the end,, when the chorus hit the first line

“mucha kucha ni shite kurenai kai?”
“Can u mess this up even more?”

And overlaid that first line with an top-down image of a black hole that was once Shibuya. Nice… well, not nice, but nice…

Yuji in depression getting flashbacks and feeling guilty while mappa - u r my special 🕺💃🕺💃

I ain’t gonna lie this anime is lame and overrated

You hate the ponytail dude than sukuna who killed more than that ponytail dude including women , old and kids. So it seems to me its okay to drop a nuclear bomb than to shot or stab people.

For a fact this ep was only edited 30% as the animators said

Anytime Megumi was about to open a pickle jar he was about to summon Mahoraga in season 1 lmao

Reminder that talking about your technique gives it strength or like amplifies it really, so Megumi talking before he initiated the subjugation ritual was purposeful. This was my absolute favorite episode and I cant wait to see what a force Megumi is to be reckoned with in the future!
HUGE SHOUT OUT TO MAPPA'S ANIMATORS!!!! This was a season finale worthy episode in my opinion and JJK fans will happily wait as long as needed for the next one!

If Sukuna had gone 100% from the start he would have wiped Mahoraga instanly, but because he took his time he gained very important knowledge for future "if you know, you know"
