The destroyer is everywhere and in all ways, He only wants to destroy our souls, if we allow him to do so.

If the Lord has power in the 4 elements, why precisely does the adversary have it in water, brothers?

I know what we are analyzing together, but the position is not very clear to my understanding.

I think the word 'destroyer' is being used as an example.

To think that l am watching this in South Africa 🇿🇦 as a member of the church after so much sacrifice by these Elders humbles me🥹🙌🏾

I think the key here is to allow yourself to be guided by the spirit when around water, I also think that the destroyer is Satan or a servant of Satan as likewise the Lord allows the King of Assyria from Isaiah to be his right arm in cleansing the earth during the great tribulation period. The Holy Ghost and the voice of the Lord will always guide you in all things if you learn to hear their voices.

So grateful for you brothers Scott and Casey! These lessons bring me so much comfort and power each week!

Think of the temple initiatory - the “destroyer” is definitely referred to as Satan - just thinking …

Anyone pondering the power of the destroyer might revisit the Initiatory.

As far as 61 goes: Enoch saw in vision that the entire ocean or sea was troubled in the last days. It seems the water itself will be some sort of terror or turbulence when “all things shall be in commotion” as it says in DC88 about the planet—not out of some power Lucifer has but more so that the Lord will let this happen to bring people to repentance, much like the Egyptians or pharaoh were smitten. It also mentions in that section 88 “the voice of the waves of the sea heaving themselves beyond their bounds” and in this section 61 “the days will come that no flesh shall be safe upon the waters…And it shall be said in days to come that none is able to go up to the land of Zion upon the waters, but he that is upright in heart”. John writes about all this throughout Revelation. So to me, the “destroyer” actually include Gods powerful decreed desolations that will come upon mankind. Like the Egyptians experienced the destroying angel. So things are going to go crazy with all waters whether rivers or oceans imo.

I like history but I have missed a lot of church history so I love these episodes for the CFM for 2025 following the D&C.

Get rid of the basement disco music. Whose idea was that? It's kind of jarring and incongruous with a spiritual message.

Satan is also the Prince of the Power of the Air. Basically the whole natural world is on a fallen state. It's not the way God created it. This is, for now, Satan's dominion. 'We are in enemy occupied territory" CS Lewis.

Christ is also referred to as the Water of Life, so a duality here: Water that saves, and water that destroys. But, THANK YOU for mentioning the old "This is why missionaries can't go swimming" urban legend. I highly suspect the Church doesn't want the missionaries at the beach, etc, because there are young ladies in bikinis there... 🤪

I think the warning about water is both physical and spiritual. When man works to make a canal to bless others it is good. But around water that is just used for pleasure there is danger.
