To answer the question, while a disability can be a challenge, it SHOULD be that when you TRULY love someone, you love them for the person they are inside AND outside. I heard it said that a person isn't like a pie that you can love in slices; you either love ALL of him/her or none of him/her; trying to pick and choose what you will love and when does an incredible injustice to that person.

The love of my life is in a wheelchair and I adore her more than anything else in this cosmos ✨❤️, it doesn't matter what condition you are in because love conquers all 😊

Well… I will call bullshit from my wheelchair… this is definitely not by us for us..
I prefer ‘then Barbara met Alan’ if you want to know anything about most people’s authentic experiences. This is just yet another able-bodied narrative of them struggling with our existence and some awakening of them. In a pretty place nobody lives in… I’m bored… I’d prefer to watch something about disability made by people with disability… that would be more empowering. There are details in this which are ridiculous … the wheelchair user has some typa hospital chair typical wheelchair users don’t use. The setting in some luxury does not fit most people’s lives experiences… it plays into tropes that disabled must be exceptional in some way to be valid. I don’t really know what the point of this is… do you want a medal or a Pat on the head for discovering people who happen to be in wheelchairs are still regular humans who deserve love, dignity and respect like everyone else… this is an able bodied performance about us, from their perspective.. it’s a shame.. a lot has gone into the production. If only they could of thought about putting our story first, or letting us speak for ourselves… not just another crip-saviour story, that completely misrepresents most peoples lived experiences….. and then you wonder why we have the stigmas and lack of awareness. I’d anyone wants to know what it’s really like… watch this; Then Barbara Met Alan.
