BIMx is not a designer app, yo can't draw with it. It is a free app that comes along with a very expensive Architectural BIM software Archicad from Graphisoft. Archicad is one of the competitors to Revit and is far from free... The app mentioned in this video is only a viewer for Archicad models.

You are as truthful as these apps free. I just wasted my time thinking the title is real. It's very weak that you have to lie to attract an audience.

Do most of these apps allow an architect collaboration (online) on projects from landscaping stage?

I have Autocad Light 2012 and only use 20% of its functions 10y after. Autodesk products are too complicated and expensive now with their subscription, for professional draftsmen only.

Is there an app that allows you to rearrange your EXISTING furniture in your home so that you don't have to physically move them? In other words, you take a picture of your room with all YOUR furniture and then you can move them around in the app to see what it would look like. I research and cannot find any that allows you to do this.

do they work with MacBook.?

Wondering which one of this apps would be good to build a screened porch? I can't find a way to add a wall and openings for screened material of windows about 6 inches apart 😢

I'm still rocking a 2010 version of AutoCad R10 and it even has Revit 2010 on the DVD.

Granted, mine has a ton of lisp routines and keyboard shortcuts that I developed myself or got from other users but, it's still AutoCad, saves to Version 2010 and all the newer versions will save back words in 3 year increments (i.e. 2010, 2013, 2016) So someone else can send you something they've been working on in a later version and you can use the older file format that your AutoCad supports..

My 2010 also let's me import .pdf files..

The main problem I had when I was running my own house plan business was getting clients to pay for the work I did for them. It got to the point where I wouldn't even take my laptop or my laser distance measuting device (Leica Disto) and start measuring until I had a check or cash in hand..

I finally quit when I'd send them the final drawings, letting them know if the city/county needed more info, just let me know and I'd put it on the drawings for them.. in general, trying to make sure they had plans they could build with..and then I'd never hear from them again..

I had a business license for a couple of years and then said "Why am I paying for that??" I wasn't getting anything from the city or county and might get a drawing back through the client saying "The city needs this much room.. blah, blah.." and I'd make the changes..

Still they'd never try to get me what was owed to me.

I finally said "to hell with it." and quit running my Craigslist Ad (which was the only marketing I needed to do up here in the Pacific NorthWet) and that was a few years ago and I STILL get calls from people.. Usually places that start with B.S. like "I've seen how well your business is doing and was wondering if you'd like to grow your businedd buy listing.. blah, blah.." I didn't need them when I was active and I don't need them anymore.. Angi is one of them.. Used to be Angi's List..

Planner 5D was the app I was using and it was the best for me, until the last update.
It became horrible!
I had to uninstall it. And now I'm here.
Will try some of these apps definitely.

Apps like magic plan are all honestly not really useable - the models are off by a lot because they rely on AR Kit and suffer from drift - same with all LiDAR scan apps
