Pro: Slotzilla! Man I can't wait to get on that again. So much fun!!!
ОтветитьNoise is overwhelming
ОтветитьThe bars - especially the ones out on the Fremont Street Experience - are a negative, not a feature. Used to like visiting Downtown, but I haven’t gone in years. Too many drunks, druggies, thieves and potential for violence. The concerts are too loud, the crowds annoying. Most of the casinos (Circa is an exception) are smaller, with low roofs, slots tightly packed and an overwhelming smell from cigarette smoke. Seeing pictures of parents walking small children through the Experience late at night makes me sad. The cheaper hotel rooms aren’t worth staying there, especially since TI, Luxor and Excalibur are comparably priced. The Strip has its problems, but I’m comfortable with the areas from NY-NY to Bellagio and Venetian to Wynn.
ОтветитьGood one .
ОтветитьAfter the 6th gang retaliation shooting in my neighborhood, I left the state.
California has destroyed it.
Nothing but their worst people came to town.
The homelessness is outrageous.
All I'm saying is be careful there.
It's so bad now.
Excellent, tganks
ОтветитьWhen is the best time to get cheap table blackjack minimums on Freemont. I am staying at the D in April.
ОтветитьIs there free parking at 4 queens casino when you reserve a room and are there kids allowed
ОтветитьIs there any live music happening on Fremont street on Cinco de mayo (May 5, 2023 our 5th year wedding anniversary)and any good places to get strong margaritas and yummy street tacos
ОтветитьVery nice & very professionally done , keep it up .
ОтветитьGood video! Wish a movie theatre would open up in Downtown again.
ОтветитьLast time I visited downtown I went to 8 East for a fantastic lunch, brisket fried rice didn’t disappoint.
Unfortunately when I walked Fremont during the day it’s obviously less crowded. All the homeless and derelicts are out in the open.
Usually spend one night downtown, but I found it so depressing I didn’t return.
Great little video on everything good and not so good in Fremont. Still do not get why any parent would bring their kids to Fremont or the strip. Cheers!
Ответить🤙🏼🤙🏼🤙🏼🤙🏼
ОтветитьIs there an age requirement now? Can a teen enter with parent on a Wednesday afternoon/evening??
ОтветитьI use to stay at the Venetian. After discovering the D downtown, that is where I want to stay from now on. Circa too !!
ОтветитьI just came home from Vegas! Stayed at the Plaza. Loved Freemont St! Loved the light show and they had a light show for Imagine Dragons Wednesday night. Walked down to that Walgreens a few times, ate at Denny’s and Coney Island. The almost naked show girls and a girl that was dancing for cigarettes and vodka, lol!
ОтветитьThe noise is a major issue. Also, I am a poker player. The only casino with poker downtown is the Golden Nugget. I would have to Uber or take a bus to the Strip. The food is definitely cheaper and the place is iconic.
ОтветитьYou’ll see plenty of homeless on the Strip as well.
I always have ear buds, have my eyes forward, and engage with no one, be it on the Strip or Downtown.
The FSE is now pretty much a 24 hour a day thing; its been operating during the daytime hours for several years.
Circa is the closest thing you’ll find to Wynn or Venetian, if that’s your thing.
I'll pass.
ОтветитьI remember a time when the downtown area was not pedestrian friendly and you really didn't step off Fremont into the dark alleys. There was a also a time when the Strip was a dangerous place to cross the street. It's a lot better now but you're right about the homeless. I can go for a couple of hours but. like yourself, I find the crowds annoying. Good video. thanks.
ОтветитьHi, went up there for St Patrick's day and March madness. Had a great time. It was busy, but it was expected. I stayed at main street station from Thursday to Tuesday, plenty of time. I agree it gets dirty but amazingly they clean it up for the next day
ОтветитьLeave your kids and dogs at home please!
ОтветитьFour Queens does not charge a resort fee. Also there's a Costco 1 mile away for cheap gas.
ОтветитьFremont Street is always fun but I am loving all the new drinking and dining experiences right outside Fremont Street
ОтветитьWell done accurate and on target. Thx. Worth walking through and checking out. Just be aware it gets VERY loud near the stages. Cheers.
ОтветитьPlaza pool is nice and the Plaza has pickleball.
ОтветитьThank you, such a well put together video.💯💯💯
ОтветитьI have to tell you that I have been staying on Fremont since 1995 and have never had any problems there.
ОтветитьWe have been staying downtown for over 20 years. We are out of stayers but visit 2or 3 times a year. We always come in December for the National Finals. We enjoy downtown.
ОтветитьAs a flight attendant years ago, the only fun I ever had in Vegas was going out to Lake Mead & renting a boat w/ the rest of the crew. That was when the water levels were much higher, long before they started finding mob victims in barrels, of course.
Icky town built by mobsters, to fleece the simple people. Nothing's changed, in that respect. My deepest condolences to anyone who has to actually live there.
MANY YEARS AGO, I QUIT STAYING ON THE STRIP AND STAY ONLY AT THE FOUR QUEENS IN DOWNTOWN LAS VEGAS I STAY IN THE SOUTH TOWER FACING AWAY FROM THE CANOPY FOR LESS NOISE. NOTHING FANCY AND IT TOOK ME A TRIP OR TWO TO GET USED TO A BASIC ROOM SINCE I WAS A SUITE STAYING GUY IN THE STRIP. I WILL NEVER GO BACK TO THE STRIP MESS. I WILL NOT STAY DOWNTOWN WITH THE WIFE AND KID BUT THERE ARE SOOO MANY RESORTS ON THE STRIP I WOULD AVOID WITH THEM AS WELL. FOR ME, DOWNTOWN IS AWESOME.
I LOVE THE DOWNTOWN MORNINGS AND MID DAY UNDER THE CANOPY. NOT MANY PEOPLE, QUIET MUSIC AND RELAXING TO JUST WALK AND WATCH THE GUYS CLEAN THE FLOORS AND VENDORS SETTING UP THE RETAIL AREAS. THE FRIDAYS AND SATURDAY NIGHTS CAN BE HORRIBLY BUSY LIKE THE STRIP. TOO LOUD AND TOO MANY PEOPLE FOR ME. I STICK TO MY BARTOP VIDEO POKER AT THE FOUR QUEENS AND DON’T GO OUT MUCH THOSE NIGHTS. I TRY TO STAY SUNDAY- THURSDAY WHEN I GO TO LAS VEGAS ANYWAY TO SEE THE FOOTBALL GAMES AND AVOID SOME OF THE MASSES.
ON THE STRIP, THE AREA FROM COKE WORLD DOWN TO THE HORSESHOE CAN BE SOOO SCUZZY WITH DOPE SMOKERS, HOMELESS, SHOWGIRLS AND GUYS LOOKING FOR PICTURES, TRASH ALL OVER, PORN CARD GUYS, SCAMMERS SELLING CD’S, CLUB SCAMMERS, BIKE RIDERS, THE FOOD PRICES ARE ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE ON THE STRIP, TABLE GAMES ARE TOO HIGH, TOO CROWDED, HARD TO GET INTO MANY RESTAURANTS, A LONG WALK BETWEEN HOTELS, THERE IS A HIGHER DRUNK AND IDIOT FACTOR ON THE STRIP, STRIP HAS MANY VEGAS NEWBEES THAT ARE WAY OUT OF THEIR ELEMENT AND ACT LIKE DRUNKEN JERKS, HORRIBLE HOTEL PRICES, $20.00 A DAY TO PARK AND YOU STILL HAVE A HELL OF A WALK TO THE PARKING GARAGE, RESORT FEES CAN BE OVER $45.00 A DAY, TIGHT MACHINES ETC… I GET COMPED AT ALL MGM & CAESARS PROPERTIES WITH FREE PLAY AND FOOD AND BEVERAGE CREDIT AND STILL TAKE MY COMPS FROM DOWNTOWN INSTEAD. I WILL USE THOSE STRIP COMPS AT SOME POINT BUT WILL STILL GAMBLE DOWNTOWN ON THOSE TRIPS SINCE I DON’T WANT TO CONTINUE THOSE CONNECTIONS. I STILL LOVE WALKING THE STRIP IN THE EVENING AT DUSK WHEN THE LIGHTS ARE COMING ON…SOOO COOL TO SEE.
I went to Vegas for the first time last month, and I don't know if it's because I live in a metro area that has a population twice as large as the entire state of Nevada or what, but I never felt like it was really all that crowded, dirty, or dangerous--no matter where I went. Granted, I didn't go looking for trouble or anything, but there was always a large police and security presence if I was even remotely close to any sort of attraction, including all parts of the strip and Fremont St. In fact, I'd like to stay downtown the next time I go!
ОтветитьDowntown Las Vegas look very beautiful place and nice view
Thank you for great sharing my friend
I went to FREMONT STREET with my daughter during the daytime ONCE! SACRED TO DEATH THE ENTIRE TIME!
ОтветитьMy friends and I stayed at the 4 Queens. I had this great view of Fremont St. I could see the light show and watch the people from my window. I could hear all the music playing. The zip liners went right past my window. All of that was amazing and cool. The only downside I had is that the music and noise never stops.. So sleeping at anytime day or night was pretty much impossible
ОтветитьThe cons portion of your video is way off base.
ОтветитьPros - It's cheaper....there, all done.
ОтветитьDid you mention the Slotzilla??? That is a HUGE UNIQUE attraction!! I love the Strip but I love LV Downtown too!!
ОтветитьSo what part of downtown would you recommend for less noise so you can sleep at night. I still want to enjoy the downtown experience but losing sleep well pretty much ruin your vacation when you're my age LOL
ОтветитьPro-it didn't reek of pee and b/o as badly as years past when I was there last month.
ОтветитьDidn’t hear about the noise as a negative downtown. Otherwise very relevant info, good job
ОтветитьHow many blocks are under canopy?
ОтветитьOn the strip, it takes 10 minutes to walk from one property to another. On Fremont, you get all the action packed into a 10 minute walk. The canopy shades the sun too.
ОтветитьI have always have more fun in downtown LV. The casino's themselves all have pretty much the same slots and table games, the only real difference is the neon signs on the buildings..the restaurants tend to be better quality wise, room rates are still reasonable by LV standards, everything is in easy walking distance if you are in reasonably good shape,,
Stay away from the McDs,,,you did NOT travel all the way to LV, to eat at a place you most likely did not have to leave your hometown to eat at,,,same for Subway, ect ect
My own favorite downtown hotel is 4Queens,it is good basic hotel/casino and it is right in the middle of everything!
Don't worry about street noise,,it quiets down around 1AM,,if you are trying to get to sleep before 1AM you are doing LV wrong LOL
Downtown is best❤
ОтветитьI love down town! All the casinos are close to each other. It's like old time Vegas!
