French Alps and Lyon

It’s important to understand history. Not because of the lessons, necessarily… but the inherent beauty of mankind’s struggle to civilize… The Gauls, The Romans, The Huns, The Vikings etc… an amalgam, guilty of progress…. Im proud of my Gallic roots, look forward to learning more.

I wonder if Rick Steves is still proud of the fact that he urged American voters to vote for Biden late in the campaign. I know he was recruited and paid cash under the table to do so. I am willing to forgive him if he comes clean and admits he was deadly wrong to support Biden-America's WORST president in US history.

What would Rick Steves say without mentioning climate change. If he looks back a few thousand years, glaciers advanced and retreated endlessly. Of course that is not who he is!

This may be an unpopular opinion but I find Lyon much better than Paris. It does not have the overcrowded and confused environment of Paris and I found people more friendly. Also, some buildings in areas of the city (e.g., Belcour) had similar architectures to famous streets in Paris and very appealing.
