Wow this was great!!!
ОтветитьWish all nursing videos were as brief yet informative as this one.
ОтветитьBe sure to tighten the hub on the j-loop to the catheter before putting the tegaderm on - if that hub isn't tightened enough, it could leak (especially during contrast exams)
ОтветитьIt amazes me how this is such an essential skill in Emergency where I specialize, but I literally never once had to do this beforehand as a floor nurse because we had an IV nurse
ОтветитьI’m a nuclear medicine tech in clinic and I had to start one of these with little info. Blood leaked everywhere 😰 but this video is super helpful in pointing out my mistakes and how to move forward.
ОтветитьWhy remove the tourniquet at that point? I was thinking let it stay on so a bunch of blood isn’t flowing through the newly placed catheter making a mess of things.
ОтветитьI’m in hvac, but I felt like I HAD to watch this
ОтветитьAfter 2.5 years as a nurse I'm finally starting to feel confident in my IV skills 😊 lol. Sorry to all the people I practiced on in the beginning 🤣🤣
ОтветитьI’m a pa student in the Ed looking this up in the ed. I need practice! Thanks for the video
ОтветитьIt’s funny because you can tell this is the persons second try on the IV. You can see the previous attempted puncture!😂
ОтветитьI'm in nursing school and my IV therapy check off is today. This is the best video I've seen! Thank you!!!
ОтветитьAs a x7 year phleb/EMT, the tourniquet being that loose worried me
ОтветитьThat is really painful jeez
ОтветитьDoes it hurt?
Ответитьim still curious, how much of air is safe enough to continue the procedure? was that too much or was it okay for the paramedics? just by the look of it
ОтветитьThank you!
Ответитьgroovy music man
ОтветитьAnyone else watching these to try to desensitize themselves to needles?
ОтветитьVery nicely done and fun music!
Ответить🥰 This video is awesome! Its short and to the point! Theres nothing worse then someone having a long drawn out video that confuses you even more and wastes time.
ОтветитьWait was tht an air bubble in the line when you flushed it? Doesn’t that I alive the patient?
ОтветитьThis was simply explained
Ответитьdo a video of old people arms that are hard stick, this person has good veins
ОтветитьThanks, This will help me to pass my AEMT class!!!!!!!!
ОтветитьI get them but I just feel awkward while doing it like it's not smooth lol
Ответить1. Always advance needle 1-2mm at lower angle after you get flash
2. Don’t leave blood in your catheter
3. That dressing is ridiculous
4. Poor antiseptic technique
5. No locking the tubing? Cmon
6. Poor TQ placement
7. Poor site selection
8. Poor flushing technique, that line won’t last
super cool and the easiest way
Ответитьi hate getting IVs and im watching this to be less scared, thank you 😭
ОтветитьAre you placing screen guard in mobile phone Or inserting iv cannula😂!!!!!!!
Ответитьديس بن بن يزيد للص شدد سووا شدد ضغط قمم سددت يو ااا😂
ОтветитьI’m getting an IV on Wednesday and I want to know, does this hurt at all? And what gauge do they use for the needle. I have a huge fear of needles and I am really nervous for it.
ОтветитьThese hurt bad
ОтветитьMid clavicular, 2nd intercostal space
ОтветитьThe amount of nurses watching the video to learn scares me
Ответитьuser totally watched elizaveta fs
ОтветитьI’m like 50/50 with placing these rn and I’m so frustrated.
ОтветитьI was just curious not even a nurse
ОтветитьGreat Job Sir Scott 👏 and God bless you more 🙏
ОтветитьI didn’t occlude the vein and yeah 💀 but I was quick to do the rest and it wasn’t as messy as I thought it’d be
ОтветитьIm a phlebotomist and the nurses always say how challenging it is like a phlebotomist. Ould never start an IV😂😂😂😂this is literally 3 extra steps to add on from what I am already doing
ОтветитьI could never get one of these
ОтветитьI hate that the only reason I’m watching these videos is to help my dad out and give his antibiotics through iv unlike everyone else in the comments who are pressuring a career in nursing
ОтветитьMusic is unnecessary and distracting
ОтветитьWhat is procedures this is a veins catheter
ОтветитьBest IV video for sure, super helpful
ОтветитьПо мне так сразу с боку немного зашёл, возможно не сильно натянул кожу
ОтветитьTHIS VIDEO IS EVERY THING! GREAT video!👏👏👏
ОтветитьOn point and very practical! Great review
ОтветитьGreat video, at school we learned that you're supposed to disinfect three times though. Once in a spiral motion like you showed. Then In a vertical motion and finally horizontal motion.
ОтветитьIt should feel spongy
