Het is onzin dat klimmen vooral een mentale oefening is. Het is een gevaarlijke veronderstelling. Als de fysieke capaciteit er is en de geest wil niet mee, dan zal men niet slagen. There is no difference between the genders as far as strength. People with feminine qualities (note I didn’t refer to gender) are raised differently the people with masculine. Thus the outcome of perceived difference.

Jeez, stop it with the women vs. men schtick. Yes, there are physical differences, but those don’t matter. There are vast physical differences among men, but no one is discussing those. Sex doesn’t matter. Condition and commitment seem to matter more. Personally I think they are all crazy.

The Julie lady dying when her partner didn’t could be due to many things. It is mentioned that they had both had fallen and struggled on for the descent. They got stuck in their tents 5 days in a storm and she died. Who knows whether or not she had internal injuries from her fall? I suggest she very well might have. Some sort of slight internal bleeding that she might have survived were she not on the mountain. Has anyone suggested that and explored the possibility?

That Thor guy they interviewed is so annoying. How can you say a women caused tension in the group but then also make the remark that you let her climb with y'all because you were "in love with her" and "not because she was safe". Not to mention he overall seems bitter about women like okay 🙄

No, no!! This movie isnt telling the whole story. Watch or read 'K2 Triumph and tragedy', the 1986 season when Julie Tullis died. A number of people were trapped in the storm and many men died too including Al Rouse and a couple Polish climbers. They were all at the same camp. It had nothing to do with her being a woman. They were trapped for too long after reaching the summit. Another woman "Ant" died on the way down following Curt Diemberger. This show is a travesty to all those people.

Men do have greater upper body strength on average than women do. Its a fact. I don't think its that big of a factor regarding climbing the worlds highest mountains. You don't have to be the worlds strongest person to climb a mountain. If you are strong enough to do it, then that is all that matters on the day.

I believe there are some things men has better strength and tolerance so does women also have the ability to bear children and tolerate injections etc I would never compare myself to my husband I would rather live and watch these documentaries Wishing these kids lived and grew past their emotional pain left behind by their loving parents 😢

It’s Better to loose a dad with adrenaline issues instead of mother Beeing a mother myself I will never be able to do this at all not even for history sake 😢 A mother has to protect her children unless motherhood differs in some countries 😢
