Cost of Living In Edmonton | Pinoy International Student in Canada

Hi Everyone,

In this video, I will be sharing with you some information about the cost of living in Canada particularly in Alberta.

This would be based from our own experience as an international student from the Philippines and we hope you will be able to learn something from this video.

NOTE: We didn't include the cost of healthcare in list of expenses as fortunately, most residents of Alberta including temporary residents such as International Students and Open Work Permit holders have access to medical care through the Alberta Health Care Insurance Plan. The plan is free as a service of the Government of Alberta however, please note that prescription drugs are not covered in this plan so you have to opt for supplemental benefit insurance to cover any additional healthcare expenses. You may not need this if you have a coverage from your school as International Student or from your employment.

As a new resident to Alberta, you are encouraged to apply for coverage under the province plan as soon as you land here as emergency medical expenses without health care coverage can quickly add to one's budget.
