I am not over the moon with the BETMGM sponsorship and it is a pity that Spurs have put Archie Gray in one of their shirts on the first page of their web site. Just seen Archie’s first interview, interesting how big a factor Ange was, and he’s been given no. 14. That may mean little, but it suggests more game time than no. 44 or such.

Visually it looks good on the training tops. However, I’m not mad about another gambling company as a sponsor. Does a club really need an official betting partner? At least it won’t be on retail versions.

Pleased to see you so Happy Ali, you certainly made me chuckle. I know very little about Archie Gray but his pedigree is impeccable (pity he is not a future Scotland player!). But if he gets you this excited that's a good sign. I know (as below) about Tanguy, but that guy did have the talent, just poor advisors. And pleased for Ryan S; wish him all the very best in all but 2 or 3 games a season!

Going by the reports of how healthy our finances are with the PSR rules, i hope it means this can be one of a few statement signings for us. I think Ramsey for the homegrown numbers coulf be a great option if/when Hojbjerg leaves, and despite his attitude problems I can see Toney starting almost every gsme for us as an out and out forward, especially if the rumours of £25m~ish being enough to do that deal. I fear Brentford may hate us if we now take Toney too though 🤣

Ali, I believe Gray will become a club-trained player at the end of 26-27 season if he stays at Spurs. Not seeing this covered enough, surely that’s huge and tremendously adds to his value!

Im disappointed. We have so many quality young players. Gray showed plenty for Leeds, but he wasnt the best player in either position he played.

I thought Spence and Byram were preferrable at RB, i dont reckon he was an improvement on Ayling and not Porro or Royal....

Hes talented but we already have so many players like this. If we now sell skipp, Royal and Mikey Moore, this deal will look terrible in 12 months. And worse in 24 months. Which will mean in 3 years, when it pays off, Ange will be long gone.

Hey Alasdair! Just curious, is Fabio Paratici still consulting for the club? I know we have a new structure with Munn/Lange in charge, but seeing Dragusin perform so well in Euros reminds me how much of an eye Paratici has for talent, especially with his connections in Serie A

Bergvall, Gray and Doue if we get him will all have a head start over Devine, Hall and Donley. I have a mixed feeling. I don’t really see how Santiago and Soonsup- Bell will break into the first team.

Not sure about Gray with that big price tag. My Leeds-supporting mate isn't that bothered and thinks he'll be another Jack Clarke for us. Doesn't think he's anything special and obviously he watched Leeds religiously.

The real question is: are we going to sign big players, Ali? Ederson, Eze, Toney, Olmo, that kind of level. We seem to be building a nursery right now. All for young talent but we need some established players.

Sounds like Spurs want to reinforce their attacking options this summer, but Veliz seems like a player who really fits Ange's ethos. Is the feeling he is ready to contribute for the first team, or do you foresee another loan for him (hopefully not another disastrous one!)? Cheers!

As much as I am excited to see Bergval play for spurs, I think Brentford not being able to complete the Gray deal is a sliding doors moment for Tottenham. He will have the same effect on Tottenham as the Cantona transfer from Leeds to ManU. In terms of position long term, I see Gray at 6 with Bergval at 8. Or Gray at 8 with Bergval at 10.
