rewatching this almost a year later and this is one of the best team finals! So entertainnig, and all 3 podium finishers were so happy, it was nailbiting til the end and there SO many changes of medal placements. No one was safe til it was over! Awesome.

Wow, Tang Xijing looked so stressed out here, hardly smiling. Also so insecure on the beam, where she is normally one of the very best. It's such a shame, she's been so impressive and also appeared so positive in the last few Olympics. I hope there is nothing serious and she will compete in the next Olympic Games, looking forward to see her again.

They need to give extra artistic points on floor for performances such as Jessica Gadirova's. Honestly, she is my favourite floor worker <3 Her routines are freaking amazing.

I don't get that they put "average" for the vault scores. They are not calculating the average netween 2 vaults, it should be "total".

Ellie Black finished her last routine with history (herstory ) on 2 counts. She gave a " Gadirova " salute too. 😉😊

You know why the US is so good, is because they work their ass off!!! It's not the US's fault that they are that much better. Perhaps we should not take that win away from them.

it seemed a very jittery day to me, or maybe I am just jittery for them all, a lovely contest and some very worthy winners esp our Jess who did the best performance of her floor routine

Watching for the second time and seeing Canada get the bronze still makes me cry. Seeing Ellie just fall to the ground In tears 😭 she’s from my hometown, could not be more proud of this team!

I just wish Russia was there to sweep everyone out of the medals!

I really like the high necked leotards the girls are wearing, especially Italy and Brazil. The Brazilian girls look incredibly stylish in that lovely blue colour.

Honestly, as an American it is such a breath of fresh air to hear from other commentators. Who actually uplift, educate, cheer on, root for, and most importantly acknowledge every single gymnast and all their hard work regardless of mistakes.

The American commentators are overly critical, give backhand compliments, downplays, nor acknowledges all athletes. They tend to give snide/rude comments. Half the time they are intrusive and rigid thoughts said out loud. Their reactions to falls are overdramatic and annoying. Especially Mr. Timmy Dagget.

Wow now everybody happy because Simone bio is not playing why they have a chance to win no one can I win except us team at the same time I'm sad because Simone she's not going to play anymore Russia wow she went now the cold because it's last minute Simone if you're not good that's why they wouldn't go but we'll see next time

Is it just me, or does it feel like no one is really innovating this quad? I know the pandemic messed a lot of things up, but it seems like there are so many gymnasts just doing the same things, and if you go back even to just 2018 or 2019 the work is so much more exciting?

I don't know if it's just because Simone was Simone-ing and pushing everyone else to try new things as a result, or for another reason entirely, but it makes me kind of sad

Come on! the gymnastic is less difficult nowadays, more plain and kind of boring. i don´t know why gimnastic have more mistake than girls of the past.

So so happy for Canada but so sad for Japan, especially that last bars worker. They were so close to the bronze!! I’ll be rooting for them next time!!!

They asked if the US could survive without Simone… how arrogant can people get?! It’s like without her there are no great gymnasts in the US- please, we have heaps of talent!! This should prove to the world that we haven’t gone anywhere.

Seriously, the hysterical screaming from teammates (especially Japan, China) is bordering insanity. How can a gymnast concentrate with those constant screams? Jeez, that should be banned. It is so irritating.

as much as I miss the Russians, it’s been great to witness underdogs like canada really raise to the opportunity and win their first medals. Congrats to the us and canada, that was well deserved❤

I'm so happy for USA and GB and Canada. They were awesome! It's so heartwarming to see them all make history! They are all so great. Wish I could have watched the all around competition. I'm gonna complain on here for a min. It is ridiculous that they don't have a replay anywhere to watch. Had to take my dog to vet and got home and couldn't watch it. It's a sad day in gymnastics that we can't watch replays or heck qualifications. If it wasn't for people posting on here I wouldn't have seen the qualifications. How can we get new fans if they can't watch it!
