Pay more and buy from a butcher. I dont trust Costco, Walmart or Target meat. I dont shop none of them. I live in Nebraska and I can get fresh chickens for cheap. Im also black and I live in the city. I just know farmers.

The only thing you didn't show us was the first check, at 45 minutes. You said you'd check it at 45 minutes, then the next scene was 2 hours in.

I was looking for a way to cook chicken so my irritable, picky, complainer 3 teens ( 2 girls and a boy ) how bad or nasty flavor my chicken came out. OMG, thank you Mad Scientist. I got an , " oh my god" from 15 yrs old girl when she tried it. My 14 years old son rolled his eyes up and gave two, two thumbs up. Search is over. This is by far THE BEST FREAKING TASTE CHICKEN I HAVE DONE IN MY SMOKER. I finally found the recipe for acceptance from my 3 teens. LOL. greetings from Southern California.

i know i'm late to the party haha but after you smoke until it gets to 145 could you put it in the oven uncovered at 325 for the last 15 minutes? I have a super cheap electric smoker ( i have made some fantastic brisket and pork shoulder on it though) and i don't know if my smoker can even get up that high lol. thanks for the videos. because of them i'm looking at offset smokers. I want to take the leap

This is exactly the way I was looking for. Simple, easy, and effective way to get (like you said) crispy, flavorful and juicy chicken. Glad it was the first video I clicked on. Only thing I would add is a sprinkle of italian herbs and crushed red pepper. Thanks so much! 👍

I would like to ask. What is the brand of 50/50 in volume salt and pepper you used? Or the best brand? The ground pepper looks not too powdery ground. (which I preffered). Thanks for this video. Keep it up! From Philippines!

Did a chicken in my 250 gallon smoker today... will never eat chicken prepared any other way again. Superior to even rotissorie chicken. I have never had chicken so tender and juicy.

Slice a onion in 4 and slices one lemon and stuff it inside of the chicken. It adds more flavor like a lemon pepper chicken. Follow the same way he cooks it because it comes out prefect.

The only thing I would change is the chicken itself. Cast aside that factory lump of shapeless flesh and replace it with a pastured, slow growing 3-pound fryer from Uncle Roy’s farm-that was dry aged for three days, then split. Uuummm Ummmm.

Those yard pimps look perfect bro! I liked the Donald skit lol. I'm doing a bird tomorrow in my Royal Gourmet Electric Smoker. I am brining my yard pimp for 24 hours first tho. Then apply a canola oil binder, then season heavily. Smoke for a few hours while basting with butter every 45 minutes. Meat should be Smokey and mad juicy, with a nice crispy skin. Love your videos bro, keep up the good work.

My temperature actually seem to hover higher than the 250, around 275 and the chicken still took over 3 hours. What did I do wrong?

My main problem when I made this recipe is that I like the chicken to be falling off the bone. 165F does not do this, it is rubbery in texture even if moist. Next time I'm going for about 190F.
