Also keep in mind Drogon is still very young barely 10 years of age and it’s shown dragons can live 200+ years and thus increasing size

Smaugs body is weird , like his body is only half the leight of his full body hes got a big ass neck , arms / wings , hes got some very little legs for his size

You were actually pretty close in this video. In the Hobbit movies, Smaug is said to be between 430 to 460 feet, with a wingspan of about 360 feet. Quite the beast indeed.

You could have also thrown in Ancalagon the Black, probably the largest dragon in fiction, probably with Deathwing and the Dragon Aspects in comparison too from Warcraft.

Everyone seems to be discounting the intelligence of GOT dragons. Remember that Drogon was intelligent and insightful enough to realize that the Iron Throne was the ultimate cause of his mother’s death. Time will tell, but I also believe that he took her with him to find an ally to have her resurrected. Speaking of allies, has anyone ever considered that the dragons in GOT have CHOSEN to ally themselves with humans? The Targaryens are the most logical because of their ability to “connect” with the dragons, but the dragons may well have realized eons ago that humans would be a threat, and they were much better off being on the same team rather than being hunted down and exterminated. As a matter of fact, the GOT dragons are magical in their own right, and we actually don’t know all of their potential capabilities and level of intelligence… especially as they get older.

Now can we get a size comparison with King Ghidorah from the new King of the Monsters.

And you know what? Smaug was considered one of the smallest of the Fire Dragons as his specie, like many other things in Tolkien universe, were losing in majesty over the generations. His size can't even compare to his ancestors.

I think people in comments need to chill. In GOT magic is a rarity used only by a select few, whereas in LOFT magic is well known and used in abundance, so ofcourse if something like a dragon (a very big threat to all things alive) is to survive it can afford to be weaker(and dumber) than dragons on GOT.

I find Vhagar to be a very unattractive dragon. Both Drogon, the Red Queen and Balerion the Black Dread , and even Smaug, are more appealing. I guess I like the classic form with lots of spikes more than that goiter thing on Vhagar's neck hanging under a round, blunted, bald head.

The 150 length statement came from one of the vfx people. She meant wingspan. This was later clarified in an interview for ART of VFX, with Sven Martin, the vfx supervisor for HOTD: "Vhagar is supposed to be 90 meters long with a wingspan of 150 meters, so we added a digital double of Aemond to our turntables to get visually reminded about the scale of the dragons" - I would post a link, but then the comment won't show up. You can look up the interview easily on google with some key words.

Drogon was in no way close to the size of Balerion, Balerion was like 2x larger than Vhagar. GOT just did a bad job at properly showing the dragon sizes

The concept creator of the Vhagar said she was 90 meters in length and 150 meters wingspan. So she was twice the size of Drogon. But it means the show Drogon reached the size of Caraxes.
