If you're going to be using the charger cable on unknown ports I would find a cheaper cable and cover the 2 inner pins. That way you can ONLY charge and will prevent juice jacking. (Stealing data during charging)
ОтветитьI’d allllmost make the exception and strap those thin optics under the bottom.
ОтветитьYou can fit a makshift fishing kit in a straw. The idea is that you clip one side, melt it together, and then put items inside a hook. A couple of sinkers and bait can fit inside, and then you crip the top melt that it's waterproof.
ОтветитьPlugging your phone into random USB ports in public is one of the worst things you can do. It opens you up to hacking, Identity theft, physical damage...you name it. DON'T DO IT. At the bare minimum get a cable that is designed to charge only, no DATA. It won't really protect from overloads but it will protect from hijacking/malware and the like.
ОтветитьHaving all these practical things in one small container makes the whole set up... impractical 😮
If you need to write something, you're gonna have to find a desk to pull out and set everything down to get that sheet of paper.
Silly. Would love to know how many days of the year you use an item in the kit.
british logick british work.
ОтветитьI would prefer powerbank any time over public places charging. Even if takes more space. First - this is a huge security threat - google for it. Second - the quality of DC can be so poor that it would damage your charging controller in your phone. Please, reconsider this.
ОтветитьI’m curious, where do you usually carry this as an edc carry?

Ответить♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️😎
ОтветитьPractical, classy, simple, tasteful, useful. Awesome 👍 what a gent
ОтветитьYeah, I think this spartan fire stuff is a real hoax. It's called wax-paper (wax coated cellulose sheets) here in Germany and around 200 square-feet costs $20.00. I think, no one should pay $15.00 for under 1 square-feet of this stuff. I see this all the time... Companies putting tactical names on household stuff and multiply the price by 100. Fancy package around it, and the illusion is complete.
Ответитьso... this is a diy kit and you can't just buy it and basically it's shaat
Ответитьif you have an iPhone why not just make the text bigger in the settings? but cool mag glass anyways, I keep them for fire starting in the woods
ОтветитьHi Jon, thanks for this inspiration! I bought nearly all of it to create my own EDC and my wife will get on Christmas 😉. One question: Could you put together an Altoid EDC which I can carry through the airport security in a plane? Thanks and greeting from Northern Germany
Ответитьi kept a altoids tin for a while that kept all my papers, tips, lighter and used the lid as a tiny rolling tray. Absolutely perfect setup for rolling small j's. So convenient. Now i dont smoke so i just have one for camping with simple firestarting stuff in it but when i did that was the best altoid tin use id ever found
ОтветитьExcellent kit! In most kit videos I watch I can usually think of something I'd add or replace, but I can't think of a single change I'd want to make to this one.
I need to get some of that Dyneema cord. I have some monofilament that's been great for what I use it for, but I definitelky want to try the braid. Thank you for suggesting it!
Very inspiring Video like always. Where can I get the minitin? The smallest i found on amazon was 6 cm, but my Barkleys tin i measured 5,5 cm.
ОтветитьI didn't even watch the video but I know he hasn't used a single thing in there beyond a week from making this video.
ОтветитьNever use a public usb charger. They can have viruses in them and they can steal your information. There’s videos out there showing how it’s done
ОтветитьI stumbled across this video. I find a number of these items very useful. I do have some questions. Is an emergency eyeglass repair kit that would fit in the Altoids tin? Are there any plastic sleeve recommendations for inside the tin?
ОтветитьOnly just seen this video I don't know how it slipped under the radar, really pleased you took my advice on the gluestick, makes a huge difference compared to the standard ones. 😊
ОтветитьThat was the first altoids tin edc video I ever like awesome. Thanks for sharing.
Ответитьcan you recommend any small multitools like the micra but without a knife so i can take it to school?
Ответитьi love when people think things like this through!
ОтветитьFantastic video
ОтветитьHey Jon, those alkaline batteries tend to leak quite often and end up ruining your light. A lithium battery will never leak and will last many times longer than a alkaline. Worth the money. Great video.
ОтветитьTeresting
ОтветитьMay I suggest a product? The battarix charge card, it’s about the same size as a Swiss card and might be able to fit in
ОтветитьYou can get a credit card size battery pack. For an emergency charge.
ОтветитьThe TARDIS tin. Great vid.
ОтветитьLooks like some people watch to much MacGyver, why not use your pockets instead? Also what kind of urban situation are you gonna be in to actually need to use something of the sort? I have premium gear in my car and basics in my pockets.
ОтветитьThe glue stick looks like a joint in the thumbnail. Very click-baitey of you! Especially as it was next to the lighter. Shame on you..
ОтветитьI always have an "altoid tin" goody bag in my pocket that has some of what you have here. And its def a case of better to have and not need rhan need and not have.
ОтветитьA couple more needles and a few regular pins wouldn't be amiss.
ОтветитьThat vendor selling the Dyneema chord - they're gouging the hell out of shipping, they wanted over £20 to ship three small spools to the UK. Will see if someone better sells it, that's downright vulgar.
ОтветитьEdc kits?. Jeez, you really carrying around a purse with kids stuff?. And you are living in England, not Alaska or Siberia?. Crazy shit.
ОтветитьUsually I'm lucky if I get one good idea from these videos, today I got five. Thank you.
ОтветитьWhy have the Victorinox if you have the Micra already?
Ответитьomg so needy :))
ОтветитьIf you need to carry that much stuff everyday you should probably not leave your house. Is there a screwdriver for the screws that are loose?
ОтветитьAnd you can put your weed in there.
ОтветитьРазведос, привет!
ОтветитьО, нихзуя, развездос!
ОтветитьWould a fisher space bullet pen fit in the tin?
ОтветитьNever Never plug in to a public USB hub unless you are looking to get hacked.
ОтветитьI might add alcohol wipes to clean any cuts and scratches (which I am prone to).
ОтветитьI ran an estimate on what it would cost to build this kit. Some of the items can be used for other kits and other items are more fixed cost. Building one would cost around $250 if you don' t have any items at all. Building multiple copies of the kit would improve the cost. I was pretty shocked how much this project would cost, but I'm new to EDC. I'd love to do it, and may do it slowly over time to ease the sting a bit.
ОтветитьCool video!
Ответитьthis could be the coolest thing i have seen in a long time.. i need to do it
Ответить
