2024 fashion trends and predictions ‍️

This video made me realize my style has been stuck in the 2010s. I already own all of these except gingham and peplums lol. Also I think dark lipstick will become more popular, people are bored with the super natural “clean girl” makeup.

I used to be so contrary to the general fashion that was becoming popular around me as i grew up, trends never really influenced me. Everything in this video (exept the pirate focus 😂) is something I alredy own because i bought it or cause it was given to me and i love that just know i can finally say that, if this predictions are right, I may be much more interested in what trends have to give

Some of the trends are literally what I’m deeply interested in collecting for my wardrobe, and I’m very excited!! I know where to get that one pair of disco pants that looked cute on me but didn’t keep cuz of a party’s dress code— Imma return to the store lmaoo

I’m 28 and seeing trends like the skull scarf that I had on in HS is surreal. Holy fuck this how my mom felt seeing me do the 80s trend in HS 😔

The one trend prediction that surprised me was bones and skulls. I understand the ways it connects with larger themes on the rise like both pirate-core and 2010’s tumblr-grunge, but also the skeleton onesie just had such a major moment 4 years ago with Phoebe Bridger’s Punisher. (I’m Thinking of both the plain onesie and all the elaborate skeleton-themed concert outfits she had).
I’d say for most people into indie music, that skeleton imagery is just so deeply connected to the beginning of the pandemic era… so it feels odd to see the imagery on the forefront of fashion trends again.

Ratt lead singer wore a Pirate puffy shirt in the 80s on the "Lay it down" music video. Im a 30 year old female who love his outfit style in that video. Of course the shirt needs to be more covered for females. Im a lady who dont want to show my body parts off

My mom calls those boots granny boots and she LOVED to wear them as a teen in the 70s.
