Chocolate comes from the cacao plant. Cocoa powder comes from the cacao plant. They're both the same just different end products.

Although this looks yummy, the best hot chocolate I’ve ever had was in Williamsburg. It was the most delicious I’ve ever had. The list of ingredients is a bit extensive but worth it.

I frequently watch Babish's cooking channel. He prefers to make hot chocolate this way with 2/3 whole milk and 1/3 heavy cream. I never thought about mixing different liquids in the hot chocolate. You could even use sweet coffee creamer with a dash of instant coffee. Babish does dump a tiny spoonful of instant coffee in his recipe. The coffee flavor will NOT overpower the chocolate. It's just to "boost" the bold feel of the chocolate.

I don't know why you call this universal hot chocolate drink American.

Why can’t you just make one nice cup of hot chocolate/cocoa. Why do all these videos have 2 cups of milk or 4 cups of milk?

It’s difficult to get the cocoa powder to assimilate in the milk, but heat helps. It wants to clump.

Almond milk is usually pretty bad tasting when it’s heated

I like chocolate so thick you can stand your spoon up in it, dense, intense thickness. I don't like donuts, cake, cookies, anything which is not a thick dense, intense chocolate flavor. Hoping this will be great. This looks good but possibly not thick enough. I like the taste almost like a very dense chocolate mousse.

You say dark chocolate and then say 50-60%? what on earth are you talking about

did you make it with giraffe or camel milk? what about cat or dog milk?

Heat water, get choco powder, put in a cup, add sugar
(optional), put the hot water, mix, add toppings (ex: whip
cream (optional!)

My issue is, I cut the chocolate then eat it, have to use powder
