ОтветитьMustang GT500 all the way. It's basically a supercar in every way. Will be orderin a new gen7 '24 Mustang GT 5.0L w/track package + 6spd ZF manual.. unless i can find new '23 Mach 1 on lot (doubtful they goin fast my dealer said..some ppl want best of last Gen). 💯

ОтветитьCrazy thing is that these canyons are my local canyons. I"ve driven these for that past 15 years. These canyons are perfect for great handling small cars. STI, Lotus, 911. I would not recommend the GT500 on these lol

ОтветитьYou can tell which muscle car I chose from the picture to the left of this comment. That doesn't mean I don't like the Redeye vehicles. Just like the look of the GT500 more than the Redeye. Now as far as the GT350 is concerned, I like the more aggressive look of GT500. The sound of the GT500 is also more appealing to me. The 20 inch wheels with the 16.5 inch rotors look awesome. The rotary gear changer is a drawback but I can live with it.

ОтветитьI’d say the automatic 10 speed is almost as fun and good as the dual clutch. It shifts amazingly fast and smoothly and has the advantage of 3 extra gears

ОтветитьAnother excellent review! Always detailed and objective. So a couple of questions. I'm thinking about trading my Jaguar F type for a GT500 or Challenger Hellcat, not sure why really. But a couple of reviews I've seen seem to suggest that the GT500 has a little hesitation off the line. Did you detect that too? The Jag hits with the power immediately off the line and I love that. And how about the Hellcat?. Is the power immediate,? of course wheelspin will slow it a little off the line. It will be a wrench anyway if I decide the sell the F type and get one of these, but I'm addicted to the power. But I love that dual clutch in the GT500. Thank you.

For so long people snarked at mustangs never knowing their full potential. Even now, they love the Shelby's but dont really know the fact that there were plenty of great mustangs that preceded Ford finally getting their in house factory mustangs together. In the Past if not Shelby then it was either Saleen or Roush that brough higher tier performance to Mustangs. Saleen really shined above them all as Saleen was not at all about one dimensional performance, straight line dragracing and nothing more, Its where Saleen differed from the rest. Saleen Raced, both Scca and professional Fia GT series and rolex series endurance racing. And they were doing it with mustangs long before they created the Saleen S7 which at the end of its racing stint, did achieve the greatest goal of winning the 24 hours of lemans in its GT1 class. Prior. unbeknownst to most autoheads and especially Mustang owners was the fact that Saleen had competed its RRR Mustangs at the 24 hrs of lemans the same year that the Mclaren F1 competed. Thats right. while the legendary mclaren F1 was making its mark. (in reality most of them caught fire and burned little known fact) Saleen Mustangs were making their mark just as well. Now keep something in mind. This is 1997-8, Sn95 mustangs model, competing against the likes of the legendary mclaren F1, lister storm, viper, you name it. the titans of that era. AND keep in mind, these mustangs had to qualify to compete meaning they were capable of winning in their respective classes, and be fast enough to race along side even the prototype LM classes. What saleen sold in showrooms where various forms of homogilates races cars. As you know the rules of racing. So thing was.. people didnt understand why saleens were so much money. People were quick to talk but they also never drove them. Saleens may have been born from ford, and looked like mustangs but the magic saleen did to these cars had them to feel handle and performance like no other mustangs every. These cars out handled porsche ferrari corvette , Power came in many variants. from stock GT with mild tuning to crazy supercharged s351sr widebody. Fast forward to today and Ford took that same recipe and for once did it in house to their factor mustangs. And with the the badging and heritage of Shelby. people one again are shocked how a humble ford mustang can go from seemingly 24 grand rental car to porsche gt3 rs shaming sports car. how could this be!!!??? becuase it was always possible no one ever said it wasnt except for those who didnt know better. And thats the truth of the matter. so many so called motor heads that actually know next to nothing about what can truly be achieved even with a humble automobile if you actually know what your doing. Look at the 911.. every year its gets better and better, incrementally.
