It is a good sword but not worth getting because empress fight is pretty hard i'd rather recommend getting terrablade instead since it is awesome sword for basically everything and its my fav sword 😅

I enjoy the fact of the short range, it teaches to maneuver and I enjoy tanking fights. Amazing content as always

I absolutley love the starlight. The damage melts everything, it's true meele which i love, and it looks stunning. Probably my favourite sword in the game

I think that the Starlight is very good for day-to-day use, but I probobaly wouldn't use it against bosses, because of its short range.

I only use starlight because it reminds me of Silver Chariot's barrage (Jojo reference?)

I don't use it for most fighting, but in farms it is the GOAT!

Starkight is really good as a side weapon for other classes. It is just good right out the box and is designed around close quarters, letting you just get rid of any low level enemies that try to harass you.
Yeah, you'll have other class-slecific weapons for that niche. It's just more fun to use another class' weapon for the side stuff.

I actually use Starlight only because Stars. I mean, look at my username and you'd get the idea of what I like. Tho I really wished you could combine the Starfury, Star Wrath, Star Veil, Terraprisma and Starlight to make a new sword.

I can imagine the buffs already...

- It summons 5-15 empress blades to fight for you.
- When you take damage, stars fall from the sky.
- It has the same if not increased speed of Starlight.
- During day your summoned swords get a 25% attack and speed buff because daylight.
- During night the fallen stars do more damage + your sword gets a buff too.

I'd call this sword... Maybe... Astral Blade.

And after you throw it into shimmer... Horizons Reach.

As a person who tried to do the true melee class on expert, the starlight actually helped me shred bosses and events with ease, despite the fact its a risky weapon

Starlight is better than Zenith. C'mon people understand this beautiful weapon.

Remember your dodge chance build? Combine that with this sword, and you'll probably be unstoppable

that sword carried me through some post moonlord calamity bosses and i really enjoy playing with it when im doing melee class and i think doing empress of light is a pretty fare challenge, everyone should try it out its really fun to play with

If you catch the destroyer when it just spawns so that it is curled up, this weapon kills it in roughly a SECOND. Like wth

Honestly I like never use it because of the range but I’m using a lot of true melee in my current play through so i might use this

I can relate to the luck u had to get this.

The best thing about it is that thanks to its insanely high hit rate (similar to fetid baghnakhs) you don't need a high damage/crit setup to delete enemies. You can go for a tanky setup, and if you want you could swap an accessory for the soaring insignia. With some decent wings you basically have no more need for flying mounts for aireal mobility (except for if you want to stay at a certain height, then a mount would be easier)

Even if you’re doing a full glass cannon setup, if you equip either a star veil or frozen shield you can use it worry free and kill the absolute fuck out of everything

The Starlight seems good and all but the Terra Blade is broken enough already. There's no point wasting time for a brokener weapon when you already have more than enough strength.

The Starlight feels like an upgrade to the Terragrim tbh, they both fill that same niche of “extreme dps up close, but no range” at their parts of the game

As a usual melee it's a mediocre choice unless you truly stacked on dmg and evasion with crits ans dmg buffs. While true melee subclass has it as musthave since it's one of the most strongest weapons up to the moonlord paired with HH greatsword

As a dedicated melee only player, I always get the starlight. And I use it on moon lord.

Starlight is a no brainer upgrade for after plantera to make farming events way easier because if enemies get close to me they evaporate shortly after.
