As a Michigander, let me say from actual experience that there are FAR better options than Buddy's.

Ok the one that you brought up for Pennsylvania is not a state wide representation. The pizza that you showed on there is only a small part of Pennsylvania that eats that nasty pizza. On the east side of Pennsylvania we have many places that have great pizza like Shelly's Pizza that is a little small building that one lady have been making pizza for God knows how long she makes pizza that you will never taste anywhere else in this country. Also what about famous Old Forge Pizza....you should check them out because there isn't many people here at all that likes that stuff you showed with no cheese on it I have tried it and it is terrible.

“Trust us”?!?!?! Pepe’s in Connecticut is the most overrated pizza joint in the country. Awful. That clam pizza is disgusting. Just dump some salt down your throat. Same taste. And costs 3x that of a normal pizza joint. These guys are surviving off of a 50 year old reputation that they don’t deserve. I lived in the area, there are a dozen other pizza places in SW Connecticut that are FAR better. Frank Pepe’s pizza isn’t even the best in their town… never mind their county… never mind Connecticut. Because of its proximity to New York, the bar for pizza is HIGH in Connecticut. MANY good shops. Frank Pepe’s can’t even be in the top 20 in the state. Horrific pizza at outrageous prices. I lived in the area for quite a long time. I’ve tried MANY pizza places in the NY Suburbs and SW Connecticut. Frank Pepe’s is by far the WORST. Okay, okay, I’ll admit, taste is subjective. I actually do know a few people who like Frank Pepe’s. But when you combine it with their prices? No. Just no. There’s no possible way anyone can think it’s worth it, even if you like it. And prices are NOT subjective. So, Frank Pepe’s as absolutely, guaranteed NOT the best pizza place in Connecticut. And it’s not close.

Born and raised in Utah, been to the "Pi" over 20 years ago, and I can honestly say The Pi sucks. I think it's the dough that sucks, and the crust is too thick. The marinara is gross, they are way too thick, and then fired in an electric oven or some other sub par cooking method that doesn't impart any meaningful flavor or texture to the "Pi". I would take Pizza Hut any day over The Pi. It's really quite a shame, because "The Pi" had such branding potential.

Sorry, but as native Missourian & a major pizza-lover, I’ve never seen any pizza establishment worth their reputation place tatar tots on their pizza. Suspect Grinders is a Kansas City area establishment. True shame that you overlooked that part of Missouri with THE BEST pizza around. St. Louis has many 19th & 20th century Italian-American families & their descendants thereof, who make some of the best Italian food in America (bar none), & of course, that includes amazing pizza! And even though GREAT pizza can be found everywhere in St. Louis, newcomers should definitely pay a visit to “the Hill” in particular for proof of that.

AJ's for Kansas? I went recently, the place was empty, and the pizza was ass. It's basically just a generic NY themed restaurant with none of the quality ingredients or passion to back it up.
