This 57 year old injured rider after 38 yrs finds it to be a blast. Don’t give two shits what anyone says or thinks. Small rack on the back left the tail on it like the look of the exhaust but not the sound. Cutting open and gutting it then welding in an s pipe fixed that. Next up big bore kit just to give it a little more grunt

Groms are popular regardless of all of the drawbacks, it's almost like most people don't want or need crazy speeds but feel like they have to so they can keep up with cars.

If the bike was built correctly it would not cost $3600. It would probably have an 18 hp 125 cc motor ABS brakes, Front and rear. An easy to ride automatic transmission for the ladies and a five speed transmission with a high-performance clutch for the men. Unfortunately, this by with probably cost $5000-$6000 a number that would sync the entire concept. However, this bike would probably reach speeds of 80 mph and this bike would have no issue carrying two people.

I had a CBR125 as my first bike, and am really disappointed these current alternatives have a 4 speed instead of 6, and have less pillion space. There was even a cubby below the pillion seat big enough for a couple items. Sure, I was in 4th much of my highway drive, but once I slowed down to 80 on a back road, all 6 gears made sense.

I know its really uncomfortable, that's what I know. Doesn't compare to a grom.

Last December when I was looking to get mini the fees brought the Z to a higher OTD than the Grom. Granted I'm a Honda fanboy for life but if I could have saved some $ I would have gone with kawi. Love my 22 sp

You tuber "Motocheese" has managed to poke a 190 Zongshen motor into a Chinese made Grom copy using a commercial 'kit' , that pretty much dusts anything out there in the 'hey look at me' strangeness category_ like 85mp + for instance for about 2/3 of the price of either the Grom or Z. If you can do your own maintenance ..you can laugh your way to the bank, waving as you leave these two in the dust trails ,, far behind....
