Other then a handful of Cards NVIDIA will sell directly to like 25 people your only going to be able to get one of the 3rd Party Vendor cards and those will be like $699 add the Scalpers extra $200 and we are looking at 800-900 for one of these cards for the first few months of the year. Same thing happened every To me they release a card or great CPU see the 5800X3D/9800X3D.

The 3x frame gane will look probably great but feel realy bad. Just imagine for rendering 200 frames per second it is 5 ms per frame with frame gen you have 57 ms per frame witch is 10x more than it should be. It will be even worse then single frame gen. It will be like playing under water or something. Because render time for 80 frames is 12.5 ms but with generated frames form 40 to 80 is 50 ms. witch means the difernce is "only 3x worse " then native 80 frames and you can already feel it. So imagine how bad it will be with 10x slower frame times then they should be.

Nvidia finally outdone themselves by providing the sales engine (reviewers, influencers etc.) with the right fuel. With the wide availability and prices anywhere near the announced msrp Nvidia and anyone praising RTX5000 series release will loose credibility. I mean how can you stand there and tell people who bought a RTX4080 super for Christmas that you are releasing a dual slot/fan card with up twice the performance at near or the same price the month after they bought their card?! Not to mention using game bundle offer by the sellers for the grounds on which return of such card can be refused should the customer change their mind or come across a freaking RTX5000 series! Word comes to mind: Theft!
Damage mitigation in form of rasterization performance comparison or a DLSS4 update release for RTX20.. and up cards which cannot take meaningful advantage of it is not going to cut it. At the end of the day it is the end user experience that matters and not product datasheet.
Disappointed owner of the RTX4080 Super.

I’m not an expert but why do people care if the frames are AI generated or not? I haven’t noticed any input delay worth noting with dlss + frame gen on my 4060 and have been able to play just about every game on ultra or high settings at 2560x1440 (no RT)

ya i'm just waiting for intel's B780, i am sure it will smash the 5070, like the a770's specs rivaled the 4070 super, the 4080 and the 4090 all at once.
faster video render/encode than 4090, more tensors than a 4080, and 4 ftlops faster than 4070 super at fp16.
you don't want NVIDIA SLOP you want INTEL GREATNESS.

Not even close. It'll be barely better than a 4070ti in raw power. DLSS and other AI tech making the next 3 predictive frames is where the "performance" comes from.

So...if you only game and don't mind DLSS...ok I guess. Should have 16GB of VRAM but ok.

Do you work with local AI? Still not an amazing deal. I'd like it to be $449 or at most $499 for it's ACTUAL raw power.

this ai simulation or whatever scare me, is the graphic will not be as good quality ? i mean, if 50xx will only be performance card and not good quality card like it should be ?
what i mean, is actually in video game on pc, if i can turn off DLSS i do it, because the quality of the image stay the same 100% of the time, i dont care about being only in 60-80 fps and not 120-150 fps, i hate DLSS because on some game the image go from being super quality to blurry graphic to keep his high fps, ITS THE THING i hate about DLSS, so if the new card are really just performance card using DLSS or AI or whatever but make game less attractive, its a meh for me...

How those claims can even be legal? It's literally lying to customers. Generating fake frames is not equal to "more powerful". It's just a trick to increase a number. Anybody who played with frame gen knows it doesn't do much more than giving you a higher fps number in your favorite overlay. Looks like Nvidia engineers don't know how to improve performance so they have to fool us with this AI bulshit.

This is essentially asynchornous reprojection seen in VR games, otherwise known as asynchronous time warp, except done in 2D space and using AI to fill in the missing information, additionally games usually do render more than the window displays (as that's how temporal techniques are able to do jitter). So that image in the nvidia website is kinda incorrect, it's not that it doesn't know what's there at all, it's more that it knows what's there but it wasn't in the display area before. Basically we already know how this works really because we've seen this in VR games, except unlike those games we have AI to do the filling and framegen to minimise the geometry warping (as the higher the frames the less geometry warping is needed).

In practice your input will be equal to whatever framerate you are targeting since it'll be decoupled from the base framerate that is being rendered.

The performance is about what I expected. The pricing was a pleasant surprise. I expected the 5090 to be even more of a price increase than it was and even more unexpected was Nvidia either holding prices steady or even cutting prices slightly compared to the 40 series for the rest. I do think the VRAM is questionable on everything except the 5090 though.

I'd like to talk about Reflex Frame Warp, because it is VERY misleading and strange behavior from Nvidia. Reading their explanation, its identical to a technique called Asynchronus Reprojection, a technique we have been using in VR headsets for almost a decade now and that I am very familiar with as a VR gamer.

My problem here is it both does not do what they claim it does, and has drawbacks that they conveniently forget to mention

First of all, they're marketing it as decreasing latency by "giving you the most up to date frame". This is straight up a lie. What async reprojection does is warp a frame to create a new frame from a shifted camera perspective to increase smoothness of camera movement. No game logic has changed from between the original and reprojected frame, and if you can't see something in the original frame you can't see it in the reprojected frame either.

The issue with async reprojection is that it creates a jarring sensation because while your camera movement is smoother, any moving objects or input handling will be the same, because game logic doesn't change. In fact, in some responsiveness sensitive scenarios this feels worse to use than with it off. For example, try playing Beat Saber with Async Reprojection on and see what happens. It feels wrong and actually throws off your input and sense of responsiveness

Until they go into more detail about what exactly they've done here, please take this tech with a grain of salt because this is extremely suspicious behavior from Nvidia that sounds like they're trying to take advantage of the fact that the general public doesn't know this technology.
