Basher at the Munster Literature Centre

Dominic Moore is an actor, voice-over artist, puppeteer, writer and director. His association with television puppetry (RTE) began with voice-over work for The Rimini Riddle, and he continued as a featured animatronics artist and writer for The Morbegs. His character Basher Bacon became the presenter of The Swamp, which broadcast as RTE’s weekend and summer children’s links programme for four years. He was later commissioned by RTE to develop, write and perform hubble, which became the flagship programme for RTE’s Young People’s Programmes. More recently in theatre, he has worked with the Gare St Lazare Ireland, (Waiting for Godot) touring to Shanghai and New York. Other recent work includes his one man show Mr Punch, Jack and Erin Connolly for the Everyman Palace Theatre, Cork; Beneath our Feet for Painted Bird (St Multose Church, Kinsale) and Dockers (Cork Creative Collective) which launched the official reopening of Fr Matthew Hall after 37 year of inactivity as a theatrical venue in 2019. Since the pandemic began, he has produced video content for several clients in Cork. He is an accomplished voice over artist with considerable experience in radio commercials, television promos, animation and film dubbing.
