The bottom line is that you have never seen your brother in law touching your daughter or laying a hand on her. This is an awful lot of assumption which is the lowest form of knowledge. I hope the police do a full investigation. These type of cases can be difficult to prove. I hope if this is true, that the criminal justice system will prevail. I am not really sure what else Jonathan & Suzy want. He will have to find a ministry, career or business on his own to support his family.

If Suzy and Jonathan are claiming that Daystar is a cult, why are they fasting and praying for God to make Jonathan the president one day, if it be God’s will. Is he praying for God to make him the president of a cult one day if God wills? This is so confusing and misleading and comes across as though this whole situation is all about the money. Choose this day whom ye will serve, Mormon or God Almighty. If Daystar is truly a cult, you two must be running away from it and looking for another job in the real world and stop living in that bubble.

His Mother was selfish to marry this narcissistic man who has no business being a pastor or counseling marriages. Having just gone through a divorce himself, he is in no position to advise others on keeping their marriages together. It’s hypocritical, and he shouldn’t be in that role. Shame on Jonie for remarrying so soon after her husband’s passing. Her decision was not only selfish but also insensitive to her grieving children. Any good mother would have prioritized their well-being over rushing into another marriage. Marrying this man doesn’t seem like a blessing at all. The Bible also teaches that it’s better not to remarry after being widowed, making her choice even more questionable.

You can't heal in the place that hurt you in the first place. A parent shouldn't have to be concerned with proving they're forgiving to anyone. If you are angry, it would make total sense. That precious child is counting on her parents, family, and adults in her life to keep her safe. She was violated and could describe it. No loyalty is owed to her grandparents who failed to prioritize that baby's wellbeing. People underestimate how powerful "conditioning" can be. You learn to accept unhealthy things as "not so bad", normal. I pray for that little girl's healing and for her parents' healing as well. They've all been traumatized.

I feel deeply saddened for your daughter! First of all, you're over-sharing her private, personal business! You are sharing a victim's story! Secondly, you did not protect her and if anything, let this be a lesson on what not to do as a parent! When you, "screamed" for Jonathan, you certainly could have and should have screamed while you went upstairs with your daughter! I can't believe Holy Spirit warned you, yet you dismissed it, and allowed the perpetrator access to your child! A child, forensic counselor should have interviewed your daughter. There is no, "she was too scared to talk so no charges were filed."!! You should have hired an attorney. Done even a small amount of research to learn what your options were to bring charges against the perpetrator. We should never just back down because we were raised this way, used to being submissive, etc., etc. Maybe a single mom but not a married woman with a husband by her side to support her and their daughter through this. I really hope I heard wrong and that you did not, ever once, bring your daughter to Daystar after she told you she had been violated or even after the perpetrator told you she saw him completely naked! Or after the family retreat incident! If I come across as all over the place, I make no apologies! Parents are blessed with the gift of our children. The moment they tell us they were violated, the moment we feel something is "off" about someone following them to a bedroom, it's our duty and responsibility to God and them, to fight until the "Petes" are brought to justice! To seek the proper therapeutic care for them, and to obviously keep them far away from their abusers. For those parents who are truly weak and naive and don't know better, it is a huge red flag for anyone, including the wife of the president of a successful Christian television broadcast network, to tell you that you are not allowed on photo shoots or any other activity! Until our children are old enough and express a desire to spend time alone with their grandparents and/or other close family members, we are mandated to protect them!! Regardless of who's feelings might be hurt. Lastly, I'm not exactly sure how old your daughter is now. However you should immediately stop sharing the details of something so private and devastating that she suffered! Clearly, you didn't attend counseling sessions yourself because any competent therapist would tell you this. When she's old enough and when and if she wants to, that's when it's ok for the world to know.
