I like this movie a lot, but the part where the U-wing crashes on this world drives me nuts. They're flying through the fog low in the canyons to avoid radar. That part works. But why are they flying so fast? The ship can hover in place. Just take it easy and arrive alive!
Ответитьthat's why you need interceptors
Ответитьthat's straight from rogue squadron n64
ОтветитьNot sure if I'm alone on this but that Imperial Anti-Aircraft cannon sounded more like it was firing shells than it was firing lasers. The SFX definitely had an upgrade for sure.
ОтветитьMaybe Cassian will stop thinking about his sister Kerri and Leida Mothma that they are on Rebel Base on Yavin 4 When he notices that Galen was Imperial :'(
ОтветитьI like how the battles of Rouge One actually had stakes and not one side had it easy. At Eadu the X wing squadron had casualties and the imperial gunners actually managed to hit something. In Scarif the fleet actually appeared to be losing with the Tie swarms until Raddus called up the corvette. Amazing directing.
Ответить2mins scene is better than entire sequels
ОтветитьGives me chills every time
Ответитьi found out that only 9 got out of there alive
Ответить"They're already engaged sir"
The cool shot followed by the dread of the X Wings arrival is chefs kiss it made the battles in Star Wars ominous again
Can I just say I loved the gunners talking amongst themselves as they sat down to man the turret? Made them feel so much more human.
ОтветитьThe music, lighting, the actual formidable and violent threatening nature of the X wings... this is one of the greatest action scenes in Star Wars history.
ОтветитьClassic 1998 Rogue Squadron type mission... Combined with the indiscriminate horrors of war and misunderstandings that the Pilots don't worry about 😆
ОтветитьBest Star Wars movie of all time.
Episode 4 and 5 also great.
one of the best movies easily
ОтветитьDisney sucks hard at Star Wars. This prolly their best movie and everything about this scene is wrong. Backgrounds, lighting, dialogue, sound, shots, editing of shots. The corniest and cheesiest music. Special effects. It all blows. Go watch episode 1 and you’ll see what a real Star Wars movie with an actual competent person at the helm look like. Episode 1 is prolly Lucas worst movie and it’s still great.
ОтветитьIf I ever become filthy rich I will put the director of this move on retainer to make more Star Wars movies nonstop 😁
ОтветитьI don’t know why but I just love the little bit where the TIE fighters sortie out of the hangar to engage the rebels
ОтветитьThey showed us once again that X wings arent toys but lethal war machinery
ОтветитьRebel Pilot: "Can't lose him!"
Chirrut: " I got u."
For the first time in a long time star fighters felt heavy like planes
ОтветитьThis movie was X wing galore
ОтветитьThis is the first Star Wars film that actually felt like a war film.
I even liked how the planet Scarif resembled Vietnam. Gave it a really gritty feel.
This attack reminds me of the part in Unbroken (book version) when Louie Zamperini and his group of B-24s surprise attacked Wake on the night of Christmas 1942. The bombers badly damaged the base and showed Japan that they were coming for them.
ОтветитьOh if George had this technology in the 70s
ОтветитьYou always know the Imps are in trouble when you see a squadron of Y-Wings behind the X-Wings. Even Vader feared the Y-Wings for missions like this one. Armored, slow, powerhouse.
ОтветитьHow the hell did all those x-wings miss one shuttle out in the open like that?
ОтветитьThis just shows you how one battle can literally ruin the entire war effort for the rebellion
ОтветитьIf EA ever makes a Battlefront III, Eadu would be a pretty cool map.
ОтветитьPretty amazing scene since X-wings are supposed to be one of the best fighters in the era. Squadrons able to hit any imperial outpost or position and leave when they’re done while Ties didn’t have the same operational autonomy
ОтветитьThey’re already engaged, Sir
