Hello everyone, I hope you enjoy today's video transitional style interiors :) If you love incorporating both old and new, modern and traditional, and rustic and streamlined pieces, then I believe you will love this style as much as I do. Looking forward to hearing what you think. Have a lovely weekend xx
ОтветитьStep 1 - buy a giant expensive house 😢
ОтветитьAll the pictures in this video are lovely. All in fashion. But the term "transitional" is the most BS term in interior design I've ever heard. I had a 20+ year career in business communication, so I'm particular about language. I also studied interior design 20 years ago. But then I moved into a Craftsman house and went down that road. Now that I've come back to the interior design world, I'm trying to not grate my teeth over the ridiculous term "transitional style" and just go with the new flow. After 18 months of gritting my teeth, yes, Suzie, you've shown that the term "Transitional" is as vacuous as my initial reaction. It's just "what's in style". It's not an actual thing. It's not Art Deco, Mid-Century Modern, French Country. It's just "what's in the big name stores. Yes, you capture the current style beautifully
ОтветитьMy problem is my great room is not symmetrical! I have 2 beautiful, new custom made white sofas. One of the walls has a window that is way off center where one of the sofas will have to sit! It’s driving me nuts. It’s open concept with the breakfast area and kitchen with 18 ft high ceilings . The fireplace isn’t even centered but I have been able to work wit that.None of the walls are the same width! This is a home recently purchased that we’re remodeling. It’s all angles ! I need suggestions desperately!
ОтветитьThis is my first visit to your page, and I am thrilled to Subscribe. Tonight, I finally discovered my style - Transitional. Answering the question of what my style is became difficult. I did not know, nor did I fit in anywhere. The favorites of recent years (chippy farmhouse furniture, MSM, Boho, Coastal, etc.) were not styles I would choose. What you so beautifully incorporated in the lovely photos and helpful styling tips gave me my answer. A transitional style fits me perfectly. Thank you!
ОтветитьYour photos were too busy so I had hard time seeing your point
ОтветитьVery beautiful...
ОтветитьWonderfully informative. Could you consider incorporating Arts and Crafts, Art Deco and Mid Century Modern styles in future uploads? Always great videos. Thanks so much!
ОтветитьLove how exquisite these rooms look. Love your Chanel!!
ОтветитьMy apartment building is historic. Inside my studio is ugly. Need some tips on decorating small studio. THANKS
ОтветитьInspirational. Totally harmonizes with my personal design taste, giving valuable guidelines.
ОтветитьI love this style! I'm traditional but not rigid and stuffy. I love the colors and living room layouts. Great tips!
ОтветитьExcellent.
ОтветитьSuzie, I have Ethan Allen Georgian Court coffee table, sofa table and end tables-should I replace them or have them lightened? Your expertise would be much appreciated.

ОтветитьThis is very beautiful. I've been waiting for this one. Thank you. Absolutely gorgeous!! ❤
ОтветитьBeautiful thanks ❤🙌❤️
ОтветитьSuzie, I really enjoy your videos and am learning a lot about interior design (and all the mistakes I have made in the past!). I would be interested in any video you might do for lake homes. Interior decorating on a lake home seems to have unique challenges, because with the lake view, it tends to dominate and take focus away from the interior space, ie more light, view windows and less wall space, etc.. I liked your chalets video and would like to see the same type of video with tips on tastefully decorating different types of lake homes.
ОтветитьLovely video, full of perfect examples. So much to take away from this one. Thank you.
ОтветитьAmazing examples, amazing homes, Thanks a lot for all your job ❤ often I'd like to put the video in pause and zoom on a details that I like 🤓 It' all so interesting😊
ОтветитьAnother masterclass on interior design.
ОтветитьHow do I get those chairs at 0.24, they are lovely
ОтветитьAlways a pleasure watching your videos. I get so many inspirational ideas just from your channel. ❤❤❤❤
ОтветитьStunning as always!!!!❤️🦜
ОтветитьThis is my fave style.
ОтветитьGrazie. Bello video
ОтветитьThank you @suzieandersonhome for bringing clarity to Transitional Design with this comprehensive style guide. Its sustainable & super that we can incorporate the new without displacing the old. Go raibh maith agat/Irish thank you ❤
ОтветитьBrilliance and Class 💥💯💖...practical yet stunning !!
ОтветитьAbsolutely love this. I recognize the style as my own and am thrilled to enhance my interior with this video as inspiration.
ОтветитьI like all the stylings shown in this video but the name of the look is unfortunate - I wouldn't use it.
ОтветитьMrs Anderson, thank you for being my teacher 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽
ОтветитьLove your videos. They give me inspiration and ideas - thanks
Ответить🧡 This is me.
ОтветитьHi and thank you, Suzie ❤ Lovely addition! This has my Mother written all over it. Class speaks volumes!
ОтветитьThank you Susie for this style lesson.. I always love this antique meet contemporary. They reincarnated in so many names like modern organic or contemporary rustic but really it’s under this super category of transition style. With love and eager waiting for your upload. Your resources are so inspirational.
ОтветитьSo very beautiful. Thank you, Mrs. Anderson. I have always loved not only your visual content. Your voice is pleasant, as is the music, which makes your videos a feast for eyes and ears. And I trust you are passionately engaged in what you do beyond simple economic interests. Aesthetic solutions on your level enrich the soul. To me, an artist, this is the core message of each of your videos. Over and beyond you gave me many fruitful suggestions regarding the interior design of my home in the sunny Hungarian countryside. Thank you again, and all the best!
ОтветитьYou always have the most beautiful videos. Pure class and elegance. I would absolutely love if you touched more on the Wabi Sabi esthetic or something very similar. Your wabi Sabi video is my absolute favorite ❤.
ОтветитьThank you once again for an excellent video. I think this is my favourite style because it offers such flexibility and is scalable from the largest homes to the smallest apartment. I find a little goes a long way - for example I've added subtle nods to chinoiserie in a transitional style bedroom and it feels contemporary, not a pastiche.
ОтветитьLove this
ОтветитьOG of interior period!
ОтветитьLove this style Suzie. Thanks for sharing, as always

ОтветитьThank you so much for the inspiring information.
Ответить❤.
Ответить👍👍👍 effortless and beautiful. Thank you Suzie for these new ideas.
ОтветитьEverything looks wonderful once again.👌 I thought window shutters were a thing of the past? I'm so glad to still see them in homes. I always felt they can work very well in the right room, with the right decor.
ОтветитьWow. I probably watched today's video at least 3 times on my TV. I think I love this style. It is a little bit of everything that I love but can't put it into words or furthermore don't know yet how to achieve it . Thank you so much for such inspiration ❤❤❤❤
ОтветитьBeautiful and insightful as always. Transitional style seems to incorporate many influences that could create a variety of different looks. Thanks for so much inspiration.
ОтветитьSuch a soothing color palette, I love it!
