I played through pokémon yellow with the starter Pikachu. I didn't know it didn't evolve until 2 YEARS LATER, & I made it all the way to the Elite 4 before giving up on it & replacing it with zapdos. I was legitimately so upset that I never played Pokemon yellow again. Even when they re-released pokémon yellow for the 25th anniversary, I refuse to purchase the game, or play it again
ОтветитьDoesn't charmander get cooked in the first 2 gyms then is useful in the grass gym and then being kind of mid for the rest then gets cooked by ice as most of the ice specialst is water and then rock
ОтветитьYet you’ve made videos saying how squirtle is hands down the best starter of that gen, makes no sense
ОтветитьHEY HEY WOAH WOAH CHARMANDER IS STILL GOOD WITH ACESS TO GOOD MOVES AND IT GETS METAL CLAW USUALLY BEFORE THE FIRST GYM THEN U HAVE THUNDER PUNCH TO DEAL WITH WATER LT.SURGE USE DIG ERICA UR BORN WITH THE UPPER HAND
ОтветитьMy opinion does not true i only use my charmeleon i beat brock and misty with one hit amazing lock for my end but i think it's still good
ОтветитьI could not be more opposed to yellow version pikachu being anywhere near this list. The friendship mechanic, following you, and actually saying its name is more than enough to be top 10 BEST starters. That thing could be a deadbeat dad that went to get milk 20 years ago, but if it showed up after i became champion and gave me a thunder animation i will go into the very fires of mordor for that degenerate. The gen 2 ds remakes could not even fathom the heights that yellow f*cker ascended to. HG/SS grovels begging for scraps from yellow version pikachu, only to be met with a turn head away animation forcing the pokemon in HG/SS to give you pointless sh*t or a musical note emoji instead, and growl like a regular basic b*tch animal.
ОтветитьYES YES YES IVE BEEN TELLING EVERYONE BULBASAUR IS BETTER TO CHOOSE AS A STARTER YES
ОтветитьU are useless because venusaur is useless in elite 4 which are hardest battles.Besides u can a good grass type before misty
ОтветитьIt's a shame Oshawott sucks early game because once it's evolves it access to great type coverage like areial ace, dig but as Samurott, though arguably had it had the dark typing from Legends: Arceus it would be even more effective it really shines especially because it deals with the elite 4 pretty easily, with X-scissor for Caitlin, aerial ace for Marshal, surf against Grimsley and most of Shauntal's team (besides Jellicent) gets access to dig which helps against either Zeckrom or Reshiram and Klinklang, also ice moves for Hydreigon only issue is really the two pure ghosts types in the end game but surf should be enough.
ОтветитьI think I read somewhere that oshawott was the best B2W2 starter
ОтветитьCough, Pikachu hater, cough! 😅🤣😂😢😢😢
ОтветитьNow I know which starters to choose because this is a baby game for little babies and I need all the difficulty I can get.
ОтветитьNot to be rude but there's more than just Gym battles to consider when accessing a starter pokemon, how about evil team battles? You touch on move-pools but only for type coverage, some people like Maganium are actually really useful for double screens support, in a heartgold playthrough it's surprisingly effective, why does your starter need to necessarily be all out offensive when other options exist?? Oshawott line is the best pick for unova imo, how many team plasma sandiles & krokorocks have you gotta KO hahaha cmon now a fury cutter is killing that leavanny XD
ОтветитьFun fact: I used meowscarada in the fight against director clavell and I dealt over half the hp of the skeledirge with ZERO setup so meowscarada is good (other than typing and the fact that it’s bad against the two first gyms) also sprigatito can learn aerial ace and has protean so it’s actually better than you’d think.
Ответить☝🏽
Ответитьchamender is bad? When I was fighting brock, I evoled to charmelon, and I had only one pokemon (charmelon). It was a easy win, the second gym is easy too if you have oddish evoled.
ОтветитьBRO HE CAN LEARN FLYTHING TYPE MOVE HIS SPECIAL HE CAN LEARN DIG HE CAN LEARN A WATER MOVE IF I REMEBER CORRECTLY SURF LIKE AND IT HAS A OP MOVE THAT ALWAYS CRITIES (AM TALKING ABOUT PIKATCHOU)
ОтветитьI can agree that picking Sprigatito makes Scarlet and Violet a bit harder. I just love Sprigatito and a good challenge that doesn’t let my overly rely on my starter.
Same case will go for Sobble when I get my hands on Sword/Shield.
Bro I feel so sorry for Squirtle. If you choose Squirtle in Kanto, you give ur Opponent Bulbasaur, which can learn Sleep Powder and kick butt with it
ОтветитьRate my gen 1 Pokemon squad victreebell, charizard, blastoise, jolteon, dragonair, and cracked eevee from lets go eevee
ОтветитьI never care if my Pikachu is unable to evolve. I never evolve it anyway! Pikachu is my favorite Pokemon!
ОтветитьI’m kinda sad because Y was my first game and I had Chespin and Squirtle 😂 but I played with torchic as well so I already had my fire type.
ОтветитьGrass type Pokémon are my favorite by far, but Chespin so far was the one and only starter I ever removed from my team and replaced with something else 😭 I'm usually very loyal to my starters, but this wasn't it
Ответитьim better thAN all of you
ОтветитьI disagree with your statement of saying meganium is bad outside of Johto. I used one in colosseum alongside Entei and the sunny day solar beams are insanely strong.
Ответитьyour dead to me
ОтветитьF*ck you for saying squirtle
ОтветитьI don't know why you did not consider this but greninja is a pretty bad starter for kalos playthrough.
Bug gym - nuetral
Rock gym - good for amoura
Fighting gym - nuetral
Grass gym - bad
Electric gym - bad
Fairy gym - bad
Psychic gym - good except for mr. mime
Ice - good defensively
For elite 4, it is only good against Drasna
Chesnaught is worse then you think because Wikstrom only has one Pokemon that's weak to Fighting and one of his Pokemon is not only immune to Fighting, it can also resist Grass AND can weaken Physical attackers.
ОтветитьI don’t find chespin to be that bad of a starter because it gets rollout for the first gym and is viable even in the ice gym due to its fighting type
ОтветитьSprigatito is the only one I'd have to disagree with entirely due to its stats and other available options you can find along the way. Type wise it is at a bit if a disadvantage, but I haven't seen anything worth while from Quacks due to its mediocre stats, even when fully evolved. If not for the Min/Max stats of Meowscarada then I'd agree. Then again I'm not nearly as much of an expert
ОтветитьI've used both sprigatito and sobble in their respective games. Its all in how you build around them. My inteleon and leafeon wrecked Raihan with their greater speed
ОтветитьCharzard isn’t AS bad in kanto as people say yes it’s weak to misty however it’s not actually weak to brock since geodude and ónix don’t have any rock or even ground moves and it can learn earthquake and I think dig which absolutely crushes koga and even blaine but yeah Charzard is far inferior to the other two and is definitely inferior to blastoise the best starter
ОтветитьThe fact that i picked chespin and squirte when i played X 💀
Ответить“Why is meganium only the second worst?”
“Oh… oh yeah that checks out.”
i remember soloing the first couple of gyms of kanto with charmander and metal claw
ОтветитьThe cool thing about Yellow version though is that you can eventually get all three Kanto starters. The first gym is tough though. Probably best to beat is with a Butterfree.
ОтветитьI will say, for all the stuff Meganuim gets for being an objectively bad starter, I really do appreciate that Game Freak decided to repurpose it and make it the mascot of New Pokémon Snap, so we can appreciate it for its beauty instead.
ОтветитьWhat is this yaping entelion is graet becuas for some odd reson it can learn some grass , dark , normal , fighting , and a singal dragon type move so no arilaboom is the worst
ОтветитьCharmander isn't THAT bad in Kanto. OG and FR/LG are each a bit different in how you play with it.
Even in gen 1 - Slash being a 1 out of 5 crit chance, Submission and Dig for coverage are not to scoff at.
Gen 3 however it's even better.
Metal Claw at level 13 makes Brock quite easy.
Then you can get Brick Break (Giovanni, Lorelei and Bruno)
Dragon Claw (Lance)
Earthquake/Dig (Dig for Blane is neat, Eathquake later on for Bruno and Agatha)
Wing Attack/Aerial Ace/Fly (STAB and Bruno)
Rock Slide (also good against Blane, Lorelei and Lance) and Iron Tail/Steel Wing for coverage later on.
It's not a counter against every team you face, but it deals with a lot more than you might think.
Squirtle does great against Misty since it resists water and has a neutral or supper effective attack in bite. It is also picked in speed runs which suggests that it is the best kanto starter in some way or another.
ОтветитьImagine if contrary
ОтветитьI disagree with your squirtle. Charmander has more bad matchups. Escpecially against the rival fights. And the first 2 gyms charmeleon is basically a dead slot if you dont overlevel. And it struggles against geovanni. Squirtle can handle the rival and team rocket alot easier
ОтветитьI always pick the water starter
ОтветитьNone of the sinnoh starters made it 🔥🔥🔥
ОтветитьFun fact: I thought Tropius was Chikoritas final evolution when I was younger because of how bad I thought Meganium was
ОтветитьI used character Gen 1 and chicareata Gen 2
Ответить
