Out of these manufacturers, my favorite would be Eduard. I have only built one ICM kit (C-45), but it went together beautifully - so, ICM as second favorite. Sorry but no third or fourth fave. Least favorite by a huge margin is Italeri as at least the packaging and plastic can be recycled, and forgotten. I know, I’m grumpy.
ОтветитьI am not holding my breath on Italeri, their Macchi 202 in 1/32nd scale was a huge disappointment. One would think that an Italian company would be proud of their aviation heritage and give it all they got, but sadly that's not the case. It's an overpriced, inaccurate kit with a lot's of missed detail. It was still fun to build, but I felt bamboozled out of my money, so I am not going to fall in to their trap again. I am curious how the Macchi 200 will be, but I am willing to bet a huge amount of money that it is going to be a letdown as well.
Airfix is on the money, they are really crushing it. They actually focus on British stuff the most as they should and now they are out with an interwar period biplane in 1/48. That is wicked. One negative I could bring up is that they are really missing the mark with their club service. I would love to join, but they offerings are really laughable.
I've only built one Eduard so far and the decals really pissed me off, I want to get something from them, but I am afraid of their decals. That carrier film peeling is just not for me.
ICM, I have a few kits in stash, will do them at some point. Very curious how they build.
Revell? Yeah, let's not talk about them 😂
I have not built any ICM kits yet but the photos you presented looks the most interesting to me.
Great job as always!
I can not tell you wich company I prefer. Every company has pros and cons and I look forward to a lot of the kits. For example an affordable F-35C from Italeri and the new kits in 1/72 from Airfix. 1/56 ist a scale used by table top gamers
ОтветитьAs far as my favorite out of the 5,well as long as they put out a good kit it is hard to choose. I have others that I like better but if revell keeps up with some of there offerings,Revell will start to get my attention
Ответить1/56 is the same as 28mm and is common in table top war games.
ОтветитьI think we can expect a couple of 1/48 aircraft announcements from Airfix during the year and possibly one or two 1/35 armour kits.
ОтветитьInterested in italeri 1/56 kits. This scale is spot on for 28mm wargaming
ОтветитьWOW, More Mustangs 109s and Typhoons. whoopie do Well done Airfix
ОтветитьNO tanks by Revell and they have copies of ICM models. You forget the quickbuld tanks of Airfix and the other life boat
ОтветитьSo. In effect.. New kits that Just representing more of the same old Mustangs. BF109'S and so on. Boring! Only ICM tries something different.
Ответить1/56th scale is used for wargamers, see Rubicon models as an example..
ОтветитьFor me:
#1 - ICM;
#2-3 - Italeri and Airfix;
#4-5 Revell (very high prices not corresponding to the quality) and Eduard (I don't like their attitude towards customers.)
I’ll be getting the ICM B-26B.
ОтветитьCounting the days till the ICM B-26 release.
ОтветитьReally looking forward to the ICM 1/48 MH60. Looks great and a vast improvement over the current one from Italeri
ОтветитьMy go-to kits have always been Revell. But, I build lots of other manufacturer's kits also.
ОтветитьNice run-down of the up coming (European) new toolings… eduard is my favorite of this group: I like that they produce 3 types of kits for each new release; ProfiPACK, Limited Edition & Weekend editions… these models are great value considering their excellent quality! Clear Prop (of Ukraine) is also of favorite of mine. 🇺🇦🇨🇿
ОтветитьYour are very funny and I learn a lot from you. Revell and Eduard for me.
Which acrylic primer do you like more, Vallejo or AK?
Being one who avoid modern stuff like the plague, F-22, F-35, UAV and whatnot, I'm interested in everything near enough from day dot up to Vietnam and the cold war....
That being said, I've pre-ordered the Airfix 1/48 Bristol Bulldog (2), I definitely will get the ICM 1/48 B-26B and their Henschel Hs 123 might find home here as well, I enjoy their kits....
I'm not too sure about the Italeri 1/32 Macchi 200, beautiful as she may, still going back and forth about their Macchi 202 in the same scale, feel a bit disappointed reading some reviews!
I also wish that they'd do more interwar aircraft, a very much overlooked era....they'd perfect in 1/32 I think! (Secretly hoping for a Fiat CR.32! 🤞🏻)
Icm much better than the rest
ОтветитьEduard number 1
ОтветитьJust finished my first kit from Hobbyboss, exceptional 👌 the fit was perfect, hardly any clean up to do. But from your list - ICM
