Here's my theory..this douche bag "tantrik(priest)" poisoned the only source of water in the Fort..half of the 14k population died after getting poisoned, the rest ditched the place immediately. And all these folklore was created by that tantrik (priest) so he can steal all the riches left behind the people.

Visited this place a few times. Poorly maintained building, filled with bird poop. No ghost can live or breathe in this place.
