This movie was indeed good, but "best"? I can think of several anime movies more deserving of that title. Sword of the Stranger, Origin: Spirits of the Past, Wolf Children, just about any Hayou Miyazaki film, The Boy and the Beast.

This was really good to actually get to. See some of japans history. Seeing how the west & their technology has to interfere in every other countries business, feeding them guns to put a government in power that will be a puppet for the west.
