There was a Goodwill Outlet close enough to me to make a trip a few times a year but it moved further away. And that's okay. I could only go on the weekend and the resellers made it an unpleasant experience. They were either swarming over the latest bin or lined up along the walls with their multiple carts, waiting for the next bin to come out. It felt very predatory.
ОтветитьGreat that you were being selective, but would have enjoyed seeing more “found” items, rather than the things you didn’t choose to take. Good luck on your next trip to the bins!
ОтветитьI'm fortunate to live about 25 min. from our local Goodwill outlet. I have so much fun there but it can get aggressive. I don't play that game....I go dig after everyone has rummaged. It upsets me that people dive onto the pile and THROW things around and break them. Our outlet just charges by the pound for everything....it's $1.59. Ours does not carry any glass at all - it's new and huge and clean. The employees are constantly sweeping and picking up items.
ОтветитьI love the bins! It feeks like such a treasure hunt. I haven't gone since May - trying to work through my "death pile" first, lol.
I usually go to the St. Paul bins & find loads more compared to the BP location - but it's bigger & more hectic than BP - so probably not for you 😉
So fun to watch your videos & see the local perspective.
It can be a crazy experience! One that I was a little intimidated to try at first. The store is full of energy - but it's also home to some really great bargains that you can buy and flip for a profit. Come along with me as I take you into the Goodwill "bins" store.
