My father told me a story on how during the invasion of greece, my ancestors escaped from the Germans during the invasion and got captured by Turks, then my great grandfather got captured and beat, with my other ancestor (names are unknown) he thought my great grandfather was dead, so they eventually found eachother and took a paddle boat, a small wooden paddle boat, all the way back to karpathos.

Im from greece. In pindos mountains when the greeks had no munitions and food women where climping the mountains and were giving them hope and bags with food anh other things. Τhanks to them we won this battle
