Regarding Castroneves, I just realized they never replaced (if that was even possible) the back flap he lost avoiding the Howard-Dixon crash.

People whining about Alonso and blowing up his engine. Just so you know, Honda dominated and won this race.

Wow. Can't believe how biased towards Castroneves the announcers were. Yelling "yeah!" when Castroneves passed Chilton and then took the lead at the end. When Sato re-passed him, dead silence. Terrible job ABC.

Too bad Pence had to show up. I guess being Vice President of the United States means he had a lot of time to waste. Nothing much going on. Nope.

Still think this is one of the better races in recent Indy 500 history, the storylines and action, absolute spectacle!

I discovered indycar when I saw Dan Wheldon's fatal crash and I was shocked. But indycar Is a great sport.

I think Honda made sure Sato's engine was going to last... and I think Andretti made sure Alonso would get a taste of the lead for pr but not to end... you know... to have a dig at McLaren for chewing Andretti up in F1 and for Alonso chewing up Honda in F1 too. ;)

have always wonder if adding those digital Displays to the cars actually helped in the way of pit stops, meaning nthat then all of the crew members could actually see how long the pit stop was actually taking, OR did it just become a Distraction to them, or maybe they just didnt pay any attention to it at all and just did the pit stop like that display wasnt even there on the car.....

Those RED lights that the cars have on the back of them, are those there just just so that the other drivers can lets say see the car or are they actually there for another reason?

I wish the media, all forms of the media would forever be banned from changing the wording they use to describe this race, it should be permanently be and officially be known and advertised as "the greatest spectacle in motor racing" no other wording should be allowed or accepted because lets face it there is no other race on earth that draws as much attention,fans or drivers and teams trying for that ever elusive pinnacle than "Indy 500 Champion"

These announcers really aren’t very good. They voice hardly any emotion and I’ve heard announcers get more enthusiastic during a PGA Golf tournament

Now THAT was a great race, after the fuel-milage disappointment of 2016!!! What a great finish, and the win goes to a really deserving driver! Helio was soooo close, but just didn't have the horsepower to put him back in front.
