His 5 star match ratings nowadays show how much he has bias towards aew and new japan. A lot of his 5 star matches arent memorable. 4 stars are what matters??? Thats like saying getting a B is better than an A! Like saying I like getting whipped by my mom because I prefer getting a B over an A.

I listened to the interview when it came out and overall it did give me some perspective when it comes to Dave BUT I suspect he won’t be doing many interviews bc he’ll be killing the very thing he’s hanging on to. The fact that Dave knows the wrestlers are working for his 5 star ratings, and Tony Kahn has said he’s doing all this to get booker of the year, of course Dave is gonna get an ego. He’s got an entire company performing for his approval like he’s a Roman emperor.

I’ve tried getting into AEW but now I know why, there matches are full of too many false finishes. So many times a match would have benefitted from ending on false finish number one or two rather than the actual finish 15 minutes later.

Case in point. Young Bucks in a cage match against luchadores. I remember watching it thinking this is hokey when will it end. Just seen that it got 5.75 stars (off the scale lol) Wow. Give me Hogan vs Rock anytime over that.

Kurt Angle vs HBK not being 5 stars is absolute insanity. Even when I was a kid watching Wrestlemania 21 live I thought how incredible the match was and one of the greatest matches ive ever seen
