I used olive oil. Don't. Please god don't. It is VILE.
ОтветитьConsistency is good, but the taste is really bland. It tastes like absolutely nothing.
ОтветитьThe volume of the container may have been beneficial. I used a long coffee mug because it's the only thing the immersion blender would fit into, but I could only fit in one cup of oil before it started overflowing.
ОтветитьAnyone wondering…
don’t think it matters the oil you use, i like using peanut oil 🤷🏻♂️.
DYOR.
We all know what he'll do with the mayo 💀
ОтветитьHow good of a immersion blender should I git ? I will only be using it to make mayo. I tried making mayo in my small smoothie blender but it was epic fail as I could not slowly mix in oil >_<
ОтветитьI haven't bought mayonnaise for probably 4 months, since I learned how to make it at home. .
ОтветитьI’d roast the garlic 😁
ОтветитьUnless you use a LOT of mayo, normally, I would half this recipe.
ОтветитьWhy two eggs? I make it with one and it comes out beautiful and perfect and there are so many recipes out there making it like this using only one egg… Just asking.🤷♀️
Ответитьthis one really was a game changer, i've found balsamic vinegar makes for a good replacement for the lemon, i always use the smallest clove of garlic in the bulb and half the quantities so it fits in a standard jar.
ОтветитьI use this recipe almost more than any other recipe
ОтветитьHow would you rate that immersion blender?
ОтветитьFor how much time u blend . Mine mayo come out a bit runny . And also immersion blender appear hot ( cuisinart immersion blender) so I stopped as didn’t want to burn it.
ОтветитьMy Mayo tastes spicy from olive oil. Is it normal?
Ответитьhow did you get your mayo white? Mine is always yellow, due to the egg yolks.
ОтветитьThanks Andrew I've just used your method and it was a huge success
ОтветитьCurious why you wouldn't use a higher quality oil like olive or avocado
ОтветитьDoes lime juice work the same?
ОтветитьMine isn’t as thick, not sure what imdoingn wrong let me know if you guys have any tips
Ответитьİ tried using a whole lemon but then it became too lemony for me, just a headsup that you might want to exactly use 2 table spoons because thats what worked for me
ОтветитьY’all can make this with flavored oils and lemme tell you it’s a game changer
ОтветитьJust made this and the only thing I’d recommend is don’t use a huge garlic clove like I did lol. Unless you want a more garlicky mayo then by all means. But other than that it turned out great!
ОтветитьStop advertising seed oils have abit of brain
Ответить"Better than anything you've had out of a jar"
I dunno man, I've had Slavic mayo. That sets a VERY high standard.
Does olive oil work?
ОтветитьDo you have to have an imersion blender?😊
ОтветитьRecipe
-crack two whole eggs into a narrow container with a width similar to the head of your immersion blender
-add a teaspoon of Dijon mustard
-add two tablespoons lemon juice/juice of whole lemon
-add one clove of garlic, chopped into large pieces and half tsp of salt
-pulse with immersion blender until smooth
-slowly add 2 cups of vegetable oil through the side of the container
-slowly pulse the blender, moving up from the bottom slowly as it becomes creamy
-lasts 1-2 weeks, or a month with pasteurized eggs
though u said ranch.
