It's not stainless. I don't trust it.
ОтветитьThose Festivals kits come with priming sugar, did you use it after fermentation?
ОтветитьOnce you start drinking this how long will it last before going off thanks
ОтветитьThis is a amazing change to brewing. I stopped homebrew, for some of the time bottling & the messing with metal kegs.
Hopefully i will re start to homebrew again.
Have you done a cider this way?
Sorry I have another question.. isn't it bad to leave beer on the trub for a period of time? If you are serving from this the beer may sit on the trub for a month or two? (Depending on how quick you drink it of course! 😄).
ОтветитьHow do you check the gravity of the beer if its all sealed? Will there be enough pressure to use the tap to pour a sample off and use a hydrometer?
ОтветитьIs there any chance you can do a kit that goes with the apollo as well? Or just do the kit without the chuddy?
ОтветитьOnly a 16G capsule for a 30 liter fermenter? Will it provide pressure till it's empty?
ОтветитьI need to get with the times I reckon!
ОтветитьVery interesting! Thanks.
ОтветитьI never got on with the small CO2 cylinders. Will it take an S30 / Sodastream CO2 cylinder?
ОтветитьYou young ‘uns! I started home-brewing in 1977! Still doing it now. Got some lovely Coopers’ dark ale I’m drinking currently. I still use kits, (lack of space) vats & pressure barrels. S30 CO2 injectors. No leaks!
ОтветитьDo you have to carbonate the beer with sugar as instructed by most beer kits
ОтветитьHi Guys, I brought this kit and its amazing, already put it to test BUT as I'm using it in my "shed" - its cold, do I need to heat the barrel? The yeast has kicked off. The pressure has been held back, finally to about 8 psi......... do I need to heat it to about 22 degrees C?
ОтветитьSo how does this setup fare in the winter months when say your house is cooler & you have no temperature control? Thanks
ОтветитьDid fermenting the festival under pressure inhibit the production of any desired esters?
ОтветитьWhen will this kit be available again?
ОтветитьInstead of pouring straight to glass for drinking, can you now bottle it too?
ОтветитьI guess you dont need a airlock on the bucket because you are transferring it straight away
ОтветитьI wish this had been around when i started homebrewing. Its a great set-up. It might be the only equipment you'd ever need, but if the upgrade bug bites the equipment will always be useful. Great stuff.
ОтветитьI take it you could use this for fermenting / serving an all grain brew from a g30
ОтветитьNice idea. Would this work with beers that had a bigger dry hop? Wondering if having the hops from that sitting at the bottom over a long period would affect the taste? i.e. would they start getting grassy tasting?
ОтветитьJust to clarify (daft lassie question inbound!): the pressure in the Chubby builds up naturally from fermentation? Or do you sometimes have to use a bit of CO2 to help it along?
ОтветитьI still use pressure barrels for cask beers, corny kegs for typical keg style beers, and have never had issues until the last two, a blonde ale and a Yorkshire bitter where the caps cracked and split. I think it was the extreme heat we've just had that caused an increase in pressure and cracked the top. I am setting up a regulator and adaptor system to allow me to connect to my bar area's gas system and I will be installing a hand pump serve the beer with, the CO2 is mainly to replace the beer, stopping a vacuum. I do like the option you've demonstrated though
ОтветитьMuito bom ... obrigado Portugal
ОтветитьQuestion : What is the cost of that kit setup and where can it be purchased from??
Seems like a very nice piece of equipment and Cheers guys for the video, much appreciated ;-)
This video couldn't have come at a better time. I'm due to brew my first batch of beer soon, using the 30l chubby and a beer kit. Brilliant!👍🏻
ОтветитьI can see myself trying this for the lifeboat station Christmas party. I’ve already been asked to make a brew……
ОтветитьHi guys loved the video, how long would my beer keep in the barrel once I start enjoying it?
Going to offer this kit as a birthday prey to myself 🍻🍻🍻
Outstanding clip gentlemen as I’ve just taken delivery of this very kit from yourselves of which I’m incredibly pleased with, could I just ask if you have a link to the best way to de-pressurise the vessel for putting in dry hops?
ОтветитьStarting home brewing in the 70’s and never had a successful brew using pressure barrels, always bottled up to a few years ago. Amazed these things are still around.
