Even after making a ton of progress sometimes I feel like I haven't and want to just throw it away. The song felt relatable but that line hit close to home.

I saw these guys play in Charlotte NC last night. It was the first time I’ve listened to this band since 2012 and it was the first time I heard this song and it has drawn me right back to them.

Such a beautiful song helped me grow as a person in a way, tells such a story of hurt for everyone that feels it and I feel like ive nearly been able to get over those times of being angry and confused with what to do, now I see don't be in a hurry to get through life sometimes we miss the best moments

I always come back to this song whenever my mind get's unbearable and all the intrusive thoughts start to do their tricks. When this song first came out I was contemplating s*icide believe it or not this song helped me to go through all of it. I'm not sane yet and I can't sing to this without crying. But I know there's a spot in the internet where I can feel like I'm not a weirdo or a burden to those around me. Thank you guys, you were in y teenage years and now you're in my adult life. Thank you for your lyrics that made me feel less lonely. I know I can fight this as you said "I'm a long way from the start".

I'm getting help for my mental health because it's ruining my relationship but it is a positive step in the right direction. I'm just glad I had this song to help thru the last year or so and to be able to listen to this because I'm happy and not sad.

Can anyone recommend some other songs from other artists that sound like this?

I see a lot of comments... about depression, but to my mind i felt something like, « can’t move, cold and chemical » as « medical and serious health issue ». But my feeling is may be wrong.
Strong lyrics about meaning of life, with different levels of course, but for each people who lives it (as difficult and as we avoid it) there is a feeling about be the hole you probabily can feel even if i don’t wish.
Difficult but with a good meaning of life/purpose and some imagination (documentary, fantasty lol i don’t know...) the hole is not very painful.

If I'm honest, when I first heard this song I thought it was talking about dealing with depression. While it may have been the original intention, I just realized it can also apply to the grief of a broken heart.

As someone who has been in addiction this song really helped me when I was detoxing and getting sober. This song is about heroin addiction.

I couldn't function...couldn't eat or even sleep by myself. I lost over 30 pounds in a couple of weeks. It was THE worst I've ever felt. I literally created my own hell just with the "chemical" imbalance in my head. Thank god I've gotten better with the help of medication and therapy.

Geez this band has changed, yeah I prefer the old stuff.

This song throws me into a very bitter sweet kinda melodramatic trance. I love it because it literally reminds me of the feelings of being deep into depression but having that one part of you still fighting to keep your head above water.
