I just had to create some graphics for a product website. I made some attempts with Blender and Affinity designer but they were kind of adjusting what a was doing, like when you take you finger off the mouse and it moves. I switched to editing SVG code and was done in two hours. There is something supreme about textually articulating creativity, which is a big part of why Stable Diffusion and Midjourney and Chat GPT are all so popular: they are text-based.

I don't event make videos or animations and I want to use it

Is there an online editor for it like Manim?

This is incredible. I've always loved the aesthetics of animated programming videos, but achieving that with conventional animation software is a far cry from my core interests (programming). This is a perfect alternative, and more powerful as far as I can see. I'd definitely be interested in using this.

As someone who quite likes animating “with code” dynamically in engines as opposed to externally (though I can still do so) this is honestly just so so cool!

It is interesting that you are abandoning declarative paradigms for imperative ones. I don’t do much animation so it is hard to consider all of the pros and cons. And declarative animations has always felt a bit awkward when I have used them for anything significant. On the other hand, every UI framework and even server state software I am aware of has pushed towards declarative paradigms and in these cases, it seems like much less manual coding. Can you provide any additional insight from your experience?

I'm really interested in motion canvas, and might get me into using it to create small animations for future videos I may make. I am still yet to find a video editor that uses code. I personally think using code allows me to do more than a commercial product, like premier pro can and also even easier.

As a curious bystander of web app interface progamming, it almost seems, if I have not misunderstood, that there would be something here for even a new web GUI framework, no? The automatic scaling of things and so on seems interesting. Also, what is the language and framework? Js and React?
