3 yr old Frenchton,she’s not as energetic as she yous and sleeps a lot.she will always be my number 1.

Mine is 2 yrs old best dog and companion I have ever had....he's a total bed bug all snuggly then a nut bar outside loads of energy....never had any problems thanku Lord ....would love to own another one :)

I have a boston/frenchie + tiny bit of staffy about 4 generations back mix female who is 18mths. She is the best dog I have ever had and my best friend. Naturally friendly and well behaved, only a little training required to walk on the lead and sit on command. She hardly ever barks (only when our other dog does) but be aware, they fart a lot and snore a lot. I wear ear plugs to bed! She looks like a typical Boston but a little smaller than average. A very easy care dog and I live in the sub tropics so I am only just a little more careful in the heat with walking etc so she doesn’t overheat. Generally she will rest if she needs to. As a mature aged woman, she is a great companion dog, not overly requiring exercise but likes a reasonable amount of attention and play but happy to lay around quietly too. Can’t recommend them enough but do check the parents and pups noses to make sure they are open enough to breathe easily. This is the main reason why I went with a specially cross bred dog, bred to improve these sorts of health issues.

Fenchies=great breed. Bostons=great breed. Seems pointless to cross breed them. Just more poor souls from the the puppy mills.

I have a French. Trying to train him to a puppy area is hard because he wants to be at my side or in my lap while working. He sometimes gets aggressive toward me when I tell him no. 11 weeks old and a great dog.

My baby girl Stella is a rescue..im almost 100% sure she's Frenchton....over 1 year old... She sleeps with me and is the best dog ever! They do suffer from separation anxiety, bark alot when you leave....
She goes crazy over bones, meeting new people, and new dogs... She is also 100% house trained.....she refuses to go in the house, I won't trade her for the world 🐶❤

The biggest concern I have with the frenchton is the same with all the brachycephalic dogs, breathing problems. Otherwise it sounds like a perfect dog for me, all I'd have to do is find one that is interested in me LOL I totally believe in making sure the dog is as interested in me as I am in the dog. After all it will be a lifelong companionship.

My Froston is 4 and a bit years old now, she is next to me right now with her squeaky toy begging to play. I have had 2 blue healers before I got my Froston as well as known many dogs over the last 40 years of my life. No dog comes close to the wonderful clown personality that my Frosty has, she is a real doll and lights my life up every single day she is in it. However if you want to get one, prepare to give up your personal space for ever. They are very clingy and want to always be next to our near you. My own dog only stays away from me when she is mad about something , otherwise she is right there. She even does the big sigh when she gets the shits with me lol. Adorable !

I love my Frenchton, but she is NOT lazy. She’s a little firecracker. I met one of her relatives recently, and the dog was nuts. Her owner had clearly not known how much energy the dog would have. Too many videos make it sound like Frenchtons are calm lapdogs, and the Boston terrier aspect makes them tenacious and energetic. If you want a lapdog, get a shih tzu. Frenchtons may not need as much exercise as border collies, but they are no couch potatoes.

Our Frenchton is 11 months old. Love him so very much, they are the best companion dog. They can get depressed quite easily when not with their family. Please don’t adopt this breed if you aren’t planning on spending the adequate time necessary. They have the biggest heart of any breed I’ve ever had and highly sensitive to human and other pets emotions.

I've had 3 Boston Terriers. I'm interested in Frenchie's. This would be perfect.

I didn't know that this breed existed but I am really taken by them you get the best of both breeds great little dogs I think anyway.

30min walk once a day is not nearly enough exercise for this breed. Our Frenchton has to have a minimum of 20min hard exercise (space to run fast!) Three times a day in order to be relaxed and able to mind his manners the rest of the day. If I take him on a 4mile hike he still will need zoomie time to run fast at some point in the day or he's a restless little devil starting trouble. Walking just isn't enough for these little athletes. I think you might want to adjust the weight range listed on your video as well with many Frenchtons reaching 32-35lbs of muscle. You are spot on with the separation anxiety and food motivated trainability and labeling them as awesome companion animals. If you can't invest plenty of time with them do not get this breed. They love and need their humans to be with them as much as possible. If you do have the time they will bring loads of love and laughter to your days.

I feel in love with the French Bulldog 20 years ago after I adopted my first pup named Lilly! She only lived to be 11 years old however and it broke my heart when I had to put her down! I would love to have a healthier, longer-lived version of her however, and a Frenchton might be the solution! As long as they don’t want $2k-$3k for them! Absolutely ridiculous! And Frenchies as much as I adore them are expensive, needy and high maintenance! Every trip to the vet was always several hundred dollars, up to $1k or more! But they are incredible and make your life so much better, albeit poorer! 😊

I love my three month old but training of any kind is the least of her worries. She turns two deaf ears to me.😭☹️

Im 44. No kids. This dog is my kid! Love him like crazy. I probably walk him a bit much but i figure its best for both of us

We have one! He's definitely a snuggler and people-lover. You will get his fur on you when he cuddles, but he doesn't have a stink like some dogs I've been around. He doesn't excessively lick or bark often. He does destroy toys quickly though, so you will have to balance the 'soft enough to want to play with' with 'tough enough to not destroy'.

Bostons are like a leaner more athletic Frenchie to begin with.

Were any of these dogs shown actually Frenchton?

I really do hope that at some point we can have a Frenchie that's "normal" and healthy. The snoring, while adorable to some people, is a sign of airway obstruction. I want a Frenchie so bad but I honestly would be worried for the next 10+ years. Reputable breeders often hae the surgeries performed that help, but still... :( I want a potato!!

Frenchtons don’t bark? Not true at all lol! My boy Louis sees or hears something outside he’s letting you know! Lol!!

I need information on the dog like books. If it’s been being bred since the 90’s there has to be some books or study material on this dog. What’s the best way to train? What’s their temperament?
